Players Buying Marks of Favor from 3rd Party Vendors Banned

According to a new post on the Secret World Legends Facebook page, a number of player accounts have been suspended from the game after purchasing Marks of Favor from third party vendors. According to the article, "these third party sellers offer [currency] that comes from purchases made with stolen payment information". As a result, Funcom is taking a zero tolerance stance against players utilizing services such as these.

Purchasing from third-party sellers causes economic damage to real people whose information was used for this purpose--their money is being stolen, and that money is getting laundered through this process. Your information may also be at risk if you’re exposing yourself to third-party sellers, too.

Additionally, this practice negatively impacts the relationship of Aurum and Marks of Favour. These payments also cause us and other companies damage due to chargebacks and the extra fee we have to pay when a chargeback is issued.

You can check out the ongoing discussion at the link above, or check out the Secret World Legends site.
