Why do I have the feeling that the OP is just making a joke out of us? :D
So excited over this game as if it's the Messiah or something and we all post around and argue/flame/agree or wtv u wanna post..
But he just keeps coming back with stuff like "A GAME TO ENJOY FOR YEARS TO COME".
So I really feel this is a joke or someone really...overhyped and abusing some stuff ? :D

AoC is extremely well made, no question it is the BEST mmo ever of all time. I think everyone is in agreement on that
The people who disagree are the ones with lousy horrible computers...here is a clue for ya....buy a new computer
No its not.
It's good ok but thats enough
My PC is probably better is yours and doesn't run AoC that well.
80% of the times is ok but that 20% is really annoying for this game.
So here's a clue for you, don't be a fanboy cause from what I saw around this site sometime in the future the game may crash n burn and you'll be the first hater poster on these forums.
Happened to Fury / Vanguard even if I do believe they're decent games still :)

AoC is an incredibly awesome game, if you can get your head out of your preverbial rear-end, then you might start playing the game the same way you play other games. Did you need to group from level 1-30 besides dungeons? in any game? how about wow? nope? then why the complaints about AoC... if a game tops at lvl 50.. thats lvl 25 before you should ever have to group, well AoC tops at lvl 80. So thats level 40 before you start having to group more often. It's there in the first 40 levels, even in the tutorial Tortage, you just have to look for it.
WoW info - At lvl 15, did you group? no. At lvl 25 did you group? no. Why is that? is it because almost all of the quests are to kill 10-20 of something that you can pull safely by yourself?
When you enter a dungeon/region, if you want to do your quests and killing in solid multiplayer groups, then enter it as Epic, some Normal places are as hard as elites in other games (like WoW) but most Normal places can be solo'd if you are careful and know how to play your character, if you want forced multiplayer content, then enter everything as Epic and enjoy the elite-style mobs and quests. If you don't like it, then go away or stop complaining.
If you go looking for groups or help with quests or dungeon runs, why don't you go looking for it in AoC? if you search for multiplayer *whether hard or easy* in other games, why won't you search for it in AoC? and have people forgotten that if you don't put in the effort, it probably won't get done? I rarely get invited randomly to groups in other MMOs, just as rarely as i do in AoC, and I look for multiplayer interaction in AoC the same way I look for it on other games.
Just wanted to say that DDO is the biggest failure ACCORDING TO YOU.
A lot of people are enjoying it and I played it too, quite good.
Might not be your cup of tea but hey, you don't have to take that tea :P
And according to ME Lotro and WoW are better than AoC as much as I hate WoW :P

Or cause they wanted AOC to fail so much, which it did'nt
I totally agree with you. AOC is a next generation MMO. Current games and the one that are coming
out in a few months will have a very hard time :)
Cheers
A drop of massive fps when looking at certain areas (from 70 to 3 fps...) like some taverns / outdoor areas doesn't mean my PC is bad.
The game's badly coded at times.
My PC is 6 months old and can handle everything else so why not an MMO ? MMOs are meant to be more smooth & playable cause of their massive worlds but anw...
It's not a bad game but it is dissapointing. Feels too small and a button masher with levels.
I agree it's fun but for how long ?
The game did a decent launch but I think it has some flaws that will affect people and not be able to keep them playing. Hope this doesn't happen. Gluck AoC
Recently joined the closed beta but haven't been over lvl 20 due to time restrictions.
What I DIDN'T like is that it's too "hold me by the hand" regarding quests.
They all appear on minimap, waypoint arrows...
Is it meant to be like that ?
I've played single player games with less linearity and I was hoping that it's different past level 20 but didn't get there yet so I'm just asking how it goes after 20 :)
It doesn't run as good as I want on my PC (which is quite new - some EXTREME FPS drop when looking at certain areas don't know why really).
But it plays quite fun, looks OK in general...Definately gonna give it a try but It doesn't seem that it's gonna blow me away right now...
For one, it doesn't seem as polished but in general it's acceptable and feels like a solid game but it's not a revolution I guess.
Regarding WoW...I'm not a big fan of how the game/company/community works but you have to accept is a quite complete package.
Regarding gear/grinding etc. the game doesn't limit you in anyway, gives you lots of options but you gotta draw the line WHEN something is worth getting or not (Tier6 or badge loot ? your choice).
I don't really care HOW zoning in WoW is done BUT it feels good and there's no loading except 3 sec loadings when entering an instance or hearthstoning. In my book that's great I don't care if its called "zone tunnelling" or little gnomes patch up the world's chunks together for me to see.
It runs great on my PC and it looks good - They did improve the graphics a bit and using a "high quality" macro makes it even better...
