If all this doesn't make much sense to you that is because it was part of an ARG to help promote the upcoming over 18 MMO based on themes from conspiracy theory and ancient mysteries, secrets and secret societies, and horror and a prediction that the world is coming to an end soon. All this has been going on behind the scenes in today's modern world, and you as a player have just discovered this world. To borrow a phrase that I believe Marv Wolfman once wrote about the secret underground world of vampires; "The world you know is just the candy coating on top and the majority of the world lies underneath." I also think they put it into one of the Blade movies.
Buy using the ARG they brought many people into "The Secret World". The game already has player formed guilds, societys, fan sites, and tribute pages. The ARG forced people from all over the world to work together to solve it, and I think the people who made the ARG were stunned how fast it was solved, inspite of how VERY hard and detailed it was.
In another posting I will go into how hard it was and what happened in it because it is over and too late for people to participate now. If I had the resouces it might make a good podcast or short film, using fictional characters to bring people late to the game up to speed. Alas I will have to throw that Idea out to someone else, but if you got the idea from me could you please give me a credit or thank you in the film?

I just tried to sign up for the alpha of LotGP and the website that they give to register for the game is not accepting the code you provided. I know this is just as likely a bug on their website as yours, especially since it would not let me sign up and tell them about the problem.
The next best thing I can do is tell you, MMORPG.COM, and hope you can sort this out.
By the looks of just signing up it may be just a little too alpha for me... maybe ill wait until Beta. Still there may be others here who want in and aren't getting in because of problems.
Please look into this and give the keyI generated to someone who will use it

- The Secret World is looking for an ARG Manager
Ragnar Tormquists blog just posted a link to the FunCom position in Oslo, Norway. This is a good sign that FunCom is both finnishing the AoC development and beta and starting "The Secret World"'s developement back into full swing.
