Updated stats.
EU open beta starts September 7th. Download will be available beforehand. Go to www.war-europe.com tomorrow for additional details.
Regard D2D preorder, I am not sure about the codes or how/when you get them, but I can assure you that you will get into open beta. This was confirmed today by Ian from GOA.
Hope it helps.
I made some statistics based on the poll currently running on warhammeralliance, which has more than 4000 votes. In case anyone is interested.

Interesting stats. Chaos is of course the most popular, more than a third of players will play healers. Melee DPS careers are the least popular.
One good thing is that there is a relative balance between Destruction and Order (still Destruction is more popular).
Just some preliminary stats, things might look different at release.
Exactly. Tanks. And more specific, Ironbreakers.
There is a poll on warhammeralliance and some of the most played classes are tanks. Why?
Because I think lots of people select their character based on what role they want to play. If you like to play tanks and you play order with your guild, there are just 2 tanks available: Ironbreaker and Swordmaster (and the swordmaster is not a classic shield and board tank). So if you want to play the knight in the shining armor, your only option is the Ironbreaker.
Chaos only have the Chosen and Black Orc with both being a classic sort of tank. Both are also going to be very popular.
Just though of that while having my coffee.
This is so sad. Reminds me of the days of Codemasters and Turbine.
When I played DDO on the EU servers I had so many problems with it I finally had quit. For LOTRO I learned my lesson and started on the US servers and I had no problems whatsoever. Plus it was cheap too! $9.99 :)
However playing on the US servers I learned one thing: I would rather play an MMORPG on EU servers operated by retarded farmers rather than play on top notch US servers again. There is nothing worse than trying to complete end game content when everyone else is sleeping.
Do yourself a favor and play in Europe even if you hate GOA. Unless you want to stick to small scale PVP battles or you work the graveyard shift.
