Hmmm, people complain about the solo PvE content in a group RvR(PvP game), but hey, Mythic listened since they too are customers, and do the fix that is timely and addresses the issue as fast as they can. It takes alot of time to write, test and input new content properly. So they have a choice of either not addressing the issue for a long time, or adjust the limit on the content already in the game to help smooth it out.

They made the choice they had to so the issue was addressed in a quick manner while I bet they are also working on the long term solution as well.

      Have a good day.

I will agree though the PQs are amazing there is no denying that but the pvE isn't that great.. other than getting a bunch of stuff to read in you ToK.

And to the person who asked if we've been in any of the dungeons in WAR... i think few people have considering the lack of people grouping together ect.

I like this game... read my previous posts about the game... but I'm just dissapointed and it's become obvious that it's all about PvE and thus I don't think this should have been an MMO in the first place.

It would have been better as an Online tablet top version or something of the such.

The reason I asked about dungeons and Lairs is they too are part of the PvE experience that few have spent time actually exploring/doing. It is obvious that you have spent conciderable time enjoying the PvE in LotR, but have not fully explored all the different type of content in WAR. Not trying to hammer you, just want a fair comparison. Yes, dungeons do need a group and start at Tier 2, but the Lairs there are 24 in the game, some even in Tier one that only needs 2-3 people, some are combat, some are puzzle, others require skill (Gah! Tomb Raider!) and definitly a different feel to them. (Can't you tell I am a content hound/explorer?)

If you want, I can send directions to some of them, just let me know.

Hope you have a good one

                                                               AOC                          Warhammer
      shipped to retailers                    1.2M                                 1.5M
Boxes bought by customers      800K                              750k
subscribers after 30 days           415k                            UNKNOWN

It's really that simple.  AOC is a terrible game and bombed.   But the Warhammer number is nothing to brag about yet because it is less than the AOC number was.

As to your first question..  AOC has 400k boxes 'somewhere'.. probably sitting in boxes in retailers warehouses... but Warhammer also has 750k boxes in the same place (although more than likely the warhammer boxes are still on the shelves).

This comparison is horribly wrong except the first number on the list (shipped to retailers). The reason why it is wrong because you forgot to attached the date when they archived those numbers.

      Let see

      Shipped to retailer:

AoC: 1 million after 1.5 months (They did not ship 1 millions initially, only about 800K)

      WAR: 1.5 million initially

      Box bought by customer:

      First week:

      AoC: 400K

      WAR: 500K

      After that

AoC: 700k - announced Jun 30, (AoC released May 23) link here

WAR: 750K - announced Oct 10 (WAR released Sep 18)

      Subscriber:

AoC: 415K ( Q2 report although people have been fighting whether it's Jun 30 number or Aug 15 number)

      WAR: UNKNOWN

Now, that's more accurate. So far, except for the subscriber number, WAR has beaten AoC in every number, that's a fact.

Thank you for the footwork with exact dates. I was going to do it but you beat me to it.

Second detail, WAR is still in 5th place on Amazon in PC games (3 ahead of it are pre orders)

And concider, 500K week one, the month is not yet over and a 50% increase in registrations during the first month (22 days to be exact over 10k a day average)? Interresting detail comparing it to The AOC number tossed around. 75% increase over 38 days averaging out to less than 8k a day increase. Looks like math is on WAR's side. And I doubt any pre-release codes without an actual purchase is included in the number.

      "Accounts created" does *not* equal "Boxes sold". Every preorder code that has been given out will fall under that category whether people actually bought the game afterwards or not;

Actually, they disabled every pre-order code that did not have an actual game DVD code added to it within a few days (with some minor exceptions, Amazon in particular comes to mind. That code did not enable a profile, just extended temporary headstart access.).

Given that they were very forward and strict about it, I doubt they were lazy enough to add it with the number. Their pattern of behavior until now would indicate more that pre-order accounts that did not have an actual game code were not added. And in the example I quoted, he used numbers from WAR and compared it with AOC that were using the same phrasing, so it's an equal comparison.

They are using the term "Registered" which would also indicate a game code, not pre-order code without valid game code. Nice try attempting to shift the term to "accounts created" which would indicate your point of view.

      Have a good day

Go and look at your fighting speed, the unresponsive control of your avatar and the clunky combat in general.

Now start up a BG in Wow - ANY level.

And see the difference in SPEED, CONTROL, ANIMATION, lag-free avatar  PvP swiftness.

How can you make a PvP/RvR game which lacks everything in PvP fights the leader off this industry offers.

Terrible, only the ones that - for some reason or another - are blinded by Wow hate,  don't seem to notice the obvious.

PvP for slowly handicapped - with lag - that's the picture of the tactical finesse in War.

1st paragraph, intentionally trying to make WAR players angry for a responce. Non-constructive way of making your point (which personally, you are trying to make your opinion by looking at a totally predictable fact and proclaiming "Your world is ending" The numbers are going to drop for 2 weeks because we have 6+ months of purchases making a decision wether to stay with the game or not vs 1 month of people buying the game. SO if there is a drop in WotLK in the month after it comes out, will you be signaling the end of WOW?)

The combat is a level playing field. Both sides are working at the same speed. Combat is not determinded by button mashing, but how you work as a group. They did advertise this from day one and have never changed.

I have done (too many) BGs in WOW and lost my taste of it because of the twinks. I got tired of 1-2 shots and dead before I could react.

It actually provides a heck of alot more than WOW does. Like actually being able to enjoy it.

I am not blinded by hate (still a paying WOW customer) but you, Sir, have an agenda you want to run down the throats of people who are enjoying something different than you enjoy.

Last comment, another insult to people who play WAR.

Please also note my example of not insulting WOW, you personally, or your (obvious) favored player base.

      Have a good day
