Uber Raiders and EQ Devs backing down every time they whine is the reason the vast majority of folks left EQ like Rats from a sinking ship. They thought they would basically get the same treatment in WoW until one of their own (Tigole) basically gave them the finger.

SOE is having issues keeping talent on the DC project, let alone in the company. Combine that with their past track record and my expectations are really low for DC online. Most likely it will be further ruined by micro transactions, in game advertising everywhere, addition subscription fees for some wacked out premium content model and half a dozen other lame money grabs.
I don't know where you get your delusions laser brains.....
The only folks that have left the DC online project is two dead weight EX SWG developers...they were shown the door. Currently the project has some top talent that isn't going anywhere until the project ships at least.
Aside from Jim Lee , they have Dave Parker Ex CoH developer and designer of some of the best missions in that game, as well as Jeff Smith Ex Bioware Wiz Kid, and Jon Sato of Squaresoft. The project is well funded and well monitored by DC..it the sort of situation that Cryptic would have killed for, but the hitched their wagon to fickle Microsoft that kills every MMO that can not Guarantee WoW like subscribers and a development cycle of 24 months

Got the same basic survey back after the Anarchy Online launch. I've also gotten similar surveys from SOE. I don't think it means what you think it means, OP.
Yep Blizzard sent me one just last month for WoW..LOTRO sent me one back in Febuary . Guess that's it for those companies as well...course I don't see Qeues anymore for WoW, never have for LOTRO despite it being an awesome game..I do for AoC. ![]()
CoH is an awesome game, but honestly it's going to have a hard time surviving against DC Heroes and Champions online.

Even if you have no problem with the company developing the game, the game's development history should worry you. The DCUO development team has had at least four different lead designers and has been bleeding development team members from the beginning. The only real stablility the development of the game has had is that Jim Lee (a comic book artist) has been the art director for the game, and is supposedly doing some writing as well.
As an extra added bonus, two of the former lead designers are the guy who came up with the NGE combat system for Star Wars Galaxies (Dan "Om Nom Nom" Rubenfield) and the former lead designer of Star Wars Galaxies that a large chunk of the folks who currently play SWG hate, Kai Steinmann (Helios). According to the rumor that has been posted to a couple gameing news sites (Gamasutra and Kotaku have posted it over a year ago), the game's creative direction is being directed by SOE's management, who vie the game as their potential flagship title, which has caused conflict with the folks on the development team, which in turn has cause a regular turnover of developers.
The most likely result of the turnover in developers is that the game is going to be a mess.
Former keyword former. Rubenfield will never again work for an established development house unless he funds it personally. Not only does half of the Veteran SWG community want to stomp a mud hole in his ass, many of his former coworkers would rather drink Bleach than be in the same room with him. The guys who are developing it now are some of the original CoH developers, as well as some of Arena.nets, and Biowares Talent. SOE is not steering the Creative direction of the game DC comics is, they will not under any circumstance let SOE fuck with their IP period. I think what should happen is folks should actually let the game come out before starting the hate machine...I know I know it's SOE the great Satan...anyway from what I have seen the game looks like a lot of fun.
What aspect of MMORPG's are you more into?
