Okay, maybe I exaggerated. Maybe it was only 50 minutes, or 45. Whatever. The point is, it wasn’t fun.
Run over here and find a group of statues standing in the woods. Shoot one, find out they really aren’t statues as the entire group immediately runs straight at me, moving like monkeys hanging out at a Starbucks all day. Run like hell, trying to figure out the camera position, spamming specials that seem to all have the same effect or none at all, and hope to do just enough damage to drop one of the group before being incapped myself. Wake up, repeat, until I finally whittle away the group. Sometimes, the monotony is broken up by inexplicably not being able to attack a mob directly in front of me because I cannot “see” it. My character is a few years old, but does she have cataracts now? Move around the opposite side of the tree and maybe I can get off a shot before the entire group somehow notices me and warps on top of my head.
At least I don’t have to worry about embarrassment, because there are no other players anywhere to see this debacle.
Collect the reward: a pile of money - useless because there is nothing to buy - and 100 experience points. Only 8 million left to go for that next level. Keep it up and soon I'll progress from level 78 to 90 so I too can enjoy those "heroic" encounters and all that great loot. Yay.
No, not fun at all.

I do however encourage everyone who can get into the vet trial to do so, if only to shut up the fanboi's who claim we've haven't played the game for 3 years and don't know what we're talking about.
Do not tell me this game has improved.

I've been in 4 or 5 vet trials, including this latest, and never got an email. Just try logging in, see what happens.
But, you're not really missing much.

It was everyone leaving. Yes it's a paradox. Im sure if most people had stayed, and not threw they toys out of the pram, the game would be as good as it once was. Because the subscriptions are so low now, nothing is being invested in the game to make it great. People should have given them more chance instead of leaving after 24 hours.

So the problem is with SOE doing micro transacations, not micro transactions as a whole.
This is my arguement. But since SOE is leading the charge for RMTs and SOE is somewhat disfavored on this forum, the argument becomes RMTs are the Spawn of Satan.
Do you currently play any NCsoft published games?
