I personally love playing the bard class in any MMO I get the chance to. They're the fun loving jack of all trades that are neglected by many players, who want to play their warriors and mages. In a way though, it makes the class unique due to the lack of them ingame.
I started a post in the General Forums Pub listing all the MMO's I could think of that had bards as a playable class and thought I would turn it into a blog considering how popular the thread got.
Everquest1 - Bard
Everquest Online Adventures - Bard
Everquest 2 - Troubador/Dirge
Lord of the Rings online - Minstrel
Ragnarok online - Minstrel
Silkroad online - Bard
NexusTK - Poet
Hero's Journey - Bard
DaoC - Bard - Minstrel - Skald
Vangaurd - Bard
Shadowbane - Bard
FFXI - Bard
SWG - Entertainer
Dungeons and Dragons Online - Bard
Wakfu's - Eniripsa (Class that uses "words" as damage, its kinda a stretch but it could work.)
It seems to have no classes, you pick and choose your skills. its got a harsh pvp system where you lose items upon death as well. hmm, check it out.

Isn't this game supposedly the savior of all MMO's or something? The flood that cures the dryspell?

I've played EQ-1. Which you did "NOT" list in your poll....

EQ had a good quest system. Where the NPC talks to you and you actually have to chat back to the NPC about a key word to get him to give you more information on what it is exactly you need to do. No marks on a map, you actually have to read it and pay attentiont to landmarks and what not. It might make it difficult, but thats what made it all the more fun when you actually completed it. A quest was " A QUEST!!!!", not just some lame task.
Quest:
A journey or effort in pursuit of a goal (often lengthy, ambitious, or fervent); a mission
