- AoC = Melee Game
to a lesser extent a healer? healers are more fun in this game then any game i have ever played.... And casters come into there own at 80. Yes you kinda suck on the way up, but this game isn't wow, its not built to be balanced around each lvl, its all about 80 and pvp.

Just went to my brother who got EA to check out the game. Maybe it's my limited experienced watching and playing the game, but it seems AOC is highly focused on melee combat. You get jumped by 2 to 5 mobs and have to make your way through them to progress. I'd like to know how does mage and priest can expect to survive... and cast anything with 3-4 mobs bashing on you ?
Tempests have mass aoe's and an aoe root, priest of mitra have high dmg spells and aoe knock back, Necros have pbaoe attacks, and demos have a few aoes that help in this reguard... And yes, you can cast while being hit
