For those of you players out there who enjoy the PvP aspect and challenge of MMO's do not expect to receive much of a challenge in Shaiya. The game is rife with camping of spawn and gates and the makers of the game refuse to give any option to avoid such. Save your self the time and don't download this unless you're looking for a boring time.
Fury has:
Better starting stats
More pvpers
Items give more stats and slots to put stat boosters on
Most/Full Blessing most of the day
Lights has:
More PvErs to fight over monsters with
Or 1 player can buy cash items for $15 dollars and kill hundreds or thousands of other players solo, the whole "party based" part of the game is just for "show and tell"
Check your firewall settings
Check to see if your connection is timing out as i know a network connection can occasionally drop or lose strength
Technical support doesnt help in this game. From what I've seen since CB is that GM's offer lots of excuses and "warnings" on forums but do not take much action unless their is a potential "threat" to revenue. Don't take it personal that you didn't get help, they don't help anyone.
Shaiya is your typical PvP Korean grind that is just another copy of Guild Wars. In Korea, the dominant "side" of this game with the most players is the Alliance of Light (AoL). In fact, it is so dominant that the game designers provided the opposing faction, Union of Fury (UoF) with many advantages in:
Terrain
Stats
Armor
PvP Guard Positioning
PvP Guard Logic (they dont attack unless being attacked from certain directions of the map)
Defensive Tower Effectiveness
In the US market, however, the dominant "side" is the UoF in numbers. The problem with Shaiya is that it is just a copy of a game with translations and now the dominant side also has the copied "weaker side" benefits from Korea.
Result= Shaiya is a 1 sided game.
