FunCom aren't fools, they are trying to squeeze out every cent they can out of each customer, they know they won't be getting many long term subscribers. The only upside could be that Gaute Godager never helms another MMO development.
Yeah agreed, they aren't fools, but they are asses.I still think some vets will stay in hope the game somehow meets up to its hype.

Just to post my thoughts.
Guild cities near a capital, during a raid on a capital, you can have a guild city be sieged and whoevers there can defend it. =P
Would be a blast imho, chaos are storming the gates, your leader sends a alert for everyone to get to your city(outpost/building/whatever), your guild gets into it, and then all of a sudden you load into battle mode and theres twice as many chaos sitting at your steps hoping to get a piece of your fortune =D
WAR is about RVR.you know Realm v Realm? that`s the main aim of the game? Keeps are where guilds come into it not guild cities. If you played DAOC you would know how it works but if you havent then i understand.
It`s great people have their own ideas but lets not forget that WAR is a game that brings the whole realm together not just uber guilds? Many people will find this out once they start playing WAR , many people need to understand that it`s not about the uber guild ,it`s about your realm and everyone in it.
You will need the whole realm in on it to get anywhere in WAR..
Sounds good, i mean it brings everyone together... for a war the likes of which servers have never seen.

Thanks for the suggestions... admittedly, most of my *current* gaming is stuff that's a few years old (WoW, CoH, Civ IV, Medieval II, Warhammer 40K: DoW, NWN and NWN2), and they all run fine.
But maybe some of these games I'm looking at getting in the next year *will* require 2 gig, I guess... the next games I anticipate getting are ES IV: Oblivion, Titan Quest, Marvel Ultimate Alliance and LOTRO (of games that are out) and this fall or in 2009... Empire: Total War, Warhammer: DoW II, WAR and Champions Online.
As you can see from my game list... I'm not someone who really plays like high end FPS games... so adjusting to graphics requirements is something I don't necessarily think as important, just because ? Strategy games for example... generally not super graphic heavy you know ?
Some nice games u got on that list oblivion had some awesome side stories like this quest that takes u into a painting, and yeh im waiting for DOW 2 and empire total war as well. I liked titan quest but it wasnt too great of a game.

I'm officially done with WoW for good, unless somehow WotLK can pull me in with some miracle, which i doubt. I just like to follow the game though to see how it progresses.
Lol i do that as well sorta, i know its sad though lol,
YEh u can run it on 1 gig if u turn everytthing down and have free hd space for virtual ram- about 3 gigish, but yeh i would have to agree with the others u should upgrade ur pc, i mean 1 gig isnt enough for the gamer anymore,
Which IP would you like to see become Bioware's new MMO?
