    you mean it looks real?  as opposesd to the ultra smooth almost babyish style graphics you get on Warcraft?

    Even Lotro seems to have this same kind of polished over smooth effect that annoys me even more!

    If you take a loook at the graphics options in Vangaurd you will find that there a huge amount more than in most games, and because most machines cant really handle these high settings and performance is an issue for a lot then they are defaulted to quite low!

    Stick bloom on at least and you will notice a vast difference. but of course dont let this be detrimental to your perforance too much.

    Also, there is a LOT of fog effects in vangaurd which might make things look shallow,  try /setfog 9999999 and that will remove most of it and reveal the true colours.

    If you have a powerfull machine with lots of ram and GPU Power try adding some anisotopic filtering.

    I can only assume the OP is not from this planet or something since nearly every player has a complaint about Vangaurd but the 'Atmosphere' is one thing they truly loved!

    I dont know, maybe he prefers games where you must enter a portal to reach another part of the continent, maybe for him this is actually how it works in real life?..  or maybe Atomsphere to him is where your standing in a desert and you take ONE STEP to the left and your in a tropical forest?

    Some of the BS that people come up with is so completly wrong that its like those documentrys you see on television about "stupid criminals"

  • Im not sure where the "worse graphics" comes from..

    I can only assume your PC is so old that it was made when jesus was born.

    There is only one single reason why I didnt play wow... the graphics! there are free mmo's out there which have better graphics, quite frankly they gave me a headache.

  • Yes it is royally boring.

    And you dont need "theories" or "ideas" as to why...  its instantly recognisable.

     

    There is no fun in making new characters because every class pretty much has to goto the same area at every level!

    At level 20 you goto your starting citys starting Zone, after that from lvl 30+ there are certain places you have to go no matter what race you are.

    The thought of going through tortage again and through all the same content again which just a different set of skills to make it different is wrist-slashing boring.

    In complete contrast, with Vangaurd not only are the loads of different starting places for each race, as you level up there are vast continents and places with have VARIETY! but the variety is mindboggling, almost to the point that feel persistantly feel lost :)  (a good thing for those who like adventure)

    When Vangaurd was released all this content was there! - its not like its only become so big after a year so the question has to be asked about Age of Conan.... 

    How long will it be before conan gets enough content ?.. 6 months?.. a year?..  Im not sure but you can bet your bottom dollar that they will drip feed it as much as possible.
