      $45,000/year is not very much.

In my personal opinion, anyone who isn't surviving comfortably on their own ,pulling down 45K a year, is a fool and a victim of their own poor choices.  People are getting by with a lot less.

You must be really inexperienced in life then.  Yeah, people may be "getting by" with less, but I am not going to sacrifice my families quality of living just to "get by".  I want my family to live in a good neighborhood and I want my child to attend quality schools and be around decent children in the neighborhood when they go outside to play.

I did a quick search on an average looking home in my neighborhood here in a Dallas suburb.  Good luck getting a home here making that little.

This house isn't anything special.  A simple 3 bedroom, 2 bath.  You tell me how you could afford it with a family.

    • I've got a baby on the way, and it got me to thinking about things.

I want to give something back to my community, and to be quite honest the career I'm in now is not all that rewarding.  It pays good, and that's fine and all, but I do get up some days and wonder why I keep going back.

So, I looked into teaching.  I thought I might enjoy it.  I love learning, kids, and I have a lot of patience so it seems like I'd make a great educator.  But I decided I just can't do it.

Here's why.  I don't know if you guys are aware just how little teaching pays.  For me to give up my career I'm in now I would be giving up almost half of my salary.  Not only that, but the insurance the teachers in my area get is horrible.  And with a baby on the way, I could not think of being able to pay doctors bills on top of that pay cut.

I do not want my wife to work once the baby is born.  She says she will if needed, but I do not plan on that happening.  If I were to go into teaching I could not live in the neighborhood I would be teaching in.  Even if my wife went to work it would be hard if not impossible to stay where we're living.  And I am not going to live in a bad place just so I can be a school teacher.

My point in posting this is to say that I'm just a little more than disappointed in the pay that we give to our educators in this country.  We shoot our mouths off about how important education is, yet we don't want to put our money where it counts.  I'm not talking about throwing money at a problem in the liberal sense of things, what I'm saying is we need to start seriously thinking about putting some quality teachers in the classroom and then taking care of them when they are there.

I'm one of the people who wanted to do it.  I'm pretty darned sure I could have made a difference.  But I'm not going back to school to get a certification only to make $45,000/year, have crap benefits, and put my family into a harder life like that.  And I'm sure I'm not the only one who has made this decision.

Not too clear to me.  I've already pre ordered.  And I'm pretty darned excited!

I can't wait to play the game.  It seems like a pretty good time it going to be had by a lot of people.

    • Communist Party USA endorses...Guess who?
    • If you don't like either one, then give another option.  You seem to leave the only way to head towards as McCain, and it is not.  There is a candidate and a party who is loyal to the Constitution and believes in state rights.

If you don't like Obama or McCain then you should check out the Bob Barr campaign on the Libertarian Party ticket.  I don't understand why people keep allowing these two suck ass candidates to be shoved down their throats.  Get some balls and stand up for yourselves for a change.

So they offered me 6 mil for the bigfoot, and here I am, my camera has been shoved up my arse, and the bigfoot is about to eat me. I need to sue.lol, um

I mean I wouldnt go after a bigfoot for 100mil, and an apache attack chopper, with ground crew.

What did they reasonably expect given all the actual , real, knowledge of, space ghost, I mean bigfoot?

At Least theres a game called space ghost, there may be a bigfoot one too,,, maybe this is where they got their reasonable expectation.

Jus slap em, tell em, put away the lawyers kiddies, run back to manhatten beach, and expensive coffee at Marina DelRey, not twenty miles from there you can find white sharks for the price of a ride on a sport fisher,,, him you can sue if he doesnt reasonably perfom to your expectations, because White Sharks are real.

If this goes through I am having some ass over Santa Claus.

Every freaking year with the money and the trips it cost a fortune and I havent seen that fat bastard yet.

I read what you wrote three times.  I know it's getting late in the day and my Adderall is wearing off, but I can't make any sense out of what you're trying to convey.

      Anyone care to interpret?
