I have played healing classes in MMO for about five year now; and I'm suprised that I very rarely get people complaining about not getting healed -just lucky I guess.
Somebody had a go at me for stupid play the other day, basically I ended up having a one-one with my Priest and a Chosen. It was a good fight, right until the assist train ran over me :) Now tactically, the guy was right, fall back and protect the objective - however I was having fun. One of the things I love about this game is that you can be a healing class but you have other options and thing to do.
I suspect that this game is going to liberate "career" healers from their narrow box of life bars to the greater MMO world. Expect less heals :)
I quit LoTR when I realised that I needed to kill another 250 wolves to get a trait; each wolf was taking about 5 mins. I don't mind a bit of a grind, but that game was crazy.
Take PvMP, great fun as a monster, up until you realise that it going to take months to get the next level; and for me that was only rank 4!
Don't get me wrong, good game and excellent look; however leveling and questing (and getting traits) is so much work, it feels like work.
On the other hand, there's so much to do in WAR, I haven't really been noticing the amount of effort/time to get a level.
My first MMO was Dark Age of Camelot. It blowed me (and my wife, who till that point only ever play solitair) away.
It will always be my favourite as my second granddaughter was born and living with us at the time and she spent many hours asleep on me as a crafted up my Spellcrafter :)
I am impressed that someone is listening and prioritising fixes and issues that players are complaining about.
So, pretty please, how about key bindings for look up/look down so I can dump the mouse?
Renewing, times two, as the missus hasn't stopped boiling people blood with her bright Wizard since we started - she finds it very theraputic for some reason.
I shall be logging in tomorrow to part with my visa card to buy the longest subscription I can get since I plan to be playing this game for some time - probably to the detriement of work and home DIY :)
What is your favourite race to play in Lord of the Rings Online?
