? I don't get it
You mean cause it looks small? I think that's just the angle.
I believe it's an insinuation, thats the sword is....ummm..... shit.
It should be noted that no matter how much of a beta you have, a hell of a lot of the exploits and bugs which have BIG advantages to the players will not be found. Right now in beta there are guilds that have a policy of reporting bugs on their guild forums first so they can weed out the ones which will be of use to them at release.

dudes.... Word of mouth is THE most powerful force in marketing. 1st law of business. so get this clear...we're NEVER shutting up, we're NEVER going away...we intend to make the company that did this suffer more losses than we ever paid in. got it? good.

And as a side effect (or perhaps by design) get the game in its current redition closed thus inflicting your 'punishment' on the new players. Sweet.
Is this not the quinasential issue with mmo though? Basically when deciding on a game to play the consumer is going to want the game to give them the minimum of the experience they are having with their current game.
The problem is their current game has eveolved into its current state. People no longer want to give new titles the opportunity to 'develop'.
But has this not always been like this? Well in truth probably not, mmo's are quite new and we are seeing a stagnation after a boom. New technology and reduction in its price should allow new devs to enter the market at least on some level in time.
New concepts like Spore etc, will enter the scene but will also mostly be seen as niche, but all games will be niche on release. This is why we have so many people going back to games some time after they tried them at release, now saying how much they've improved and how much better they are and that they will be sticking with them.
Which console would you like to see MMOs released for?
