    All they needed to do was retool the starter areas. Qalia has SOOOOOOOOO much unused land with nothing but low level creatures around. If the idea is to start on the trial island and then graduate to one of the continents, what is the point of the various newbie/starter locations? Much of the area around Khal will now be useless.

    They should have retooled the starter locations. Gotten rid of most of them and had all players start from one or two locations. It would have saved time and resources....but then again, this is SOE we're talking about....

    
     

    I think they wanted to offer people a small download.

    Most people do not want to see the unique starter areas go away.

    Dexterity, constitution, and strength are the Dread Knight's primary attributes. Dexterity helps the Dread Knight evade or mitigate damage. Constitution gives him plenty of life points and higher resistances. Strength enables the Dread Knight to do enough damage to keep the attention of enemies.

    As far as coverage goes, as much as I would like VG to get more coverage, if you look at how many hits each game gets, VG is way down the list and MMORPG.com really have to write stuff in line with what their visitors actually want to see.

    Massively re-reviewed VG a month or so ago and the writer was really hooked by the game and resubbed. That kind of write-up is great from such a big site as Massively. MMORPG seems to be far more mass market and focused on the big sub games (except WoW strangely).

    Fantastic fun, run speed, you spec ranged or melee and can get good DPS either way.

     

    Great challenge at high level managing agro it isnt just mash button's you will have to jump between ranged and melee as melee just creates so much hate.

  • I would like to see a new review, but it should be after Trial Island and the return of the character features.

    What kind of bugs me about mmorpg.com is the amount of orignal content that is written about this game.  If you navigate to a game from the game list, you can see all of the articles that have been written about the game.

    For Vanguard there was an interview in March of 2008, then before that there is an article from August 2007.  The other 4-5 artices are either from release or from Beta. If you look at a game like AoC or Lotro you see many more articles and feature stories about the game.  I think there are probably 10 articles about AoC this month.  So perhaps not a new review, but at least more coverage please.
