keeping in mind that I have played "Dark & Light" in the past, I decided to give it a try again whilst I waited for "Mortal Online" to come to fruition. I registered at the website, and after several attempts was unable to download the "Installer" .
I proceeded to post on their forums for assistance or enlightenment as to why I was having this problem.. Let me tell you,I, was SHOCKED at the response I got from a member who had been with the game since 2005 and who will remain nameless:
"Well, game servers been down for over 6 weeks now, the company fired everyone and the CEO is MIA, no official word here in the forums for months...
Well, you do the math...
well, well guess D&L may be down the tubes, at least for the time being. Let's hope someone or something comes to the forefront and rescues the game, if it can be at all

I am totally frustrated with the makers of Tabula Rasa. I got a 3-day trial, and have never even once been able to log in. I created an account at playNC and still cannot play. Everytime I log into the game, it doesn't even recognize my user name or password. I cannot even get another 3-day trial key. If somone can help me it would be appreciated, if it isn't already too late.

I have two thoughts on this topic. I have been a die hard PC gamer for more years than I can count(scary huh). I have, in years passed been an avid gamer on ps & ps2. every time I spend $40+ on a console game, I end up disappointed and come back to old faithful PC. I really don't believe IMO, that console gaming would be as effective,in the truest sense of MMORPG.
1) et me explain. I have been playing MMO & MMORPG games for a long time(ever since guild wars Beta). I have BETA tested ot at least trial version tested most Top end MMORPG games out there. I have found on many there seems to be a sense of community. a place to hang and chat, meet people and get a general sense of commoradary(spelling sux). I don't see how one would be able to comfortably type in a comsole game, without moving, re-arranging every ime you wanna type & switch back to playing. My best example is Battlefield 2 for the PS2. Oh my god,IMO it sucked compared to the PC version. Why don't I talk about the X-barf? simple fact is for online I have absolutely no interest. Paying monthly to play online? pfffft... enuf said
2) this point is STRICTLY my opinion. Even though I find alot of "kidides" in PC mmorpg games. Even though, generally speaking, kiddies tend to ruin the general sense of matureness of a game(although some adults have no brain cells as well), console gaming would bring many more problems like that(IMO). It is true, that PC gaming does have that problem already(I will give you that). Like I said,it could potentially inflate the problem exponentially. That my friends would surely suck.
As for the poster who is tired of spending $100s of dollae every year to upgrade his PC...PFFT. I have an intell P4 (3.06G), 120G HD & and an AIT Radeon 9600 250meg Grafix card. I build it 5 yrs ago, and just now am finding a slight need to upgrade my grafix card. It has worked quite nicely along the way. I have always thought that PC games of all kinds were better than console gaems of the same name. Guess I am just biased thatay toward the PC,just like those Biased toward console games.
...that's all I got to say about that...I am outta here...
