Back in the day, when the game first came out NOONE was a jedi and NOONE knew how to become a jedi. The best rumor was the path was opened by doing random quests, and that’s what people did. Then it was reveled that following holocrons, mastering 4 profs. The first 3 were told to you and the 4th was luck.
This was back in the day when jedis where uber rare and if you dared spark up your saber the whole world would be after you. I only had one friend make it to jedi, back before the force village, and it was a pain. He could only quest on remote planets in fear of death. If someone did see him it wouldn’t be long until bounty hunters came after him. It came to a point he would walk around with a house on him, picking up two quests in the same area, dropping a house and finishing up his quests, he lived in fear of using his jedi skills.
It was a great system that worked well, in the time SWG is set Jedis are in hiding and don’t stand around space ports with their sabers out. SWG was a great game pre-cu and NGE. The jedi system worked and the pop was high on all the servers, I don’t even know what the game is now but it isn’t fun.
Like TBC this is going to rock. I love WoW, I love TBC and WotLK is going to be great.
Oh no!!! it’s summer time and WoW has dropped to only 8 million active accounts. The chrat is a great point, it you note the activity at the same times last year you’ll see the same drop. Its nice out side, stop trolling and enjoy it.
It also should be noted a few new MMOs are out or coming out and it will take a bit for people to accept they’re a flop and come back to WoW. I know a lot of people don’t like this but WoW is the best thing out there and if the haters stopped and played the game they would see it.
I’m currently playing WoW and I can’t wait for WotLK, there isn’t anything out there that I would leave WoW for. I want to try some of the new games but only when they get the bugs worked out. Once WoW drops bellow 3million subs I might start to get worried and I know once the weather turns the player pop will go from a lot to even more.
Okay, so we are on the same page then? Bizz is making A LOT of money off of WoW regardless of the monthly wage! So, until they make their next hit we shouldn’t worry about WoW going anywhere. Thanks for reinforcing my point.

I would like to note this is active accounts, so its $15 x10,000,000 a month.
Just so you know, not everyone pays $15 a month. It could actually be substantially less since over half of that 10 million number is from Asia where they don't pay Blizzard directly, Blizzard has a license agreement with The9 who handles subscpritions. There's a lot of speculation as to how much Blizzard makes off those in Asia, but no one other than Blizzard and The9 really knows.
Lol, stupid point but I’ll play with it. Let us say all of WoWs active accounts only pay 1 US dollar. So if we take $1 a month paid by 10million accounts? Anyone have a calculator? WoW isn’t going anywhere any time soon.
Do you currently play any NCsoft published games?
