Additionally, my friend who still plays this game also reports the following nonsensical change to the game mechanics:
drinking a potion now breaks the Combat Expertise stance.
As we all know, combat expertise has a HUGE cooldown timer.
So now AC tanks can't help the cleric by being self-sufficient and drinking potions.
Way to go Turbine!
They either really hate clerics because their trying their best to make clerics babysitters...
...or...
...they really love clerics because they're trying their best to make sure that every group has a cleric.
So much for soloing or running in groups without a cleric...
no
Turbine went and made barbarians unable to drink potions while raging.
What were those boneheads thinking?
They are clearly violating the D&D v3.5 rules, since barbarians are, in fact, supposed to be able to drink potions while raged.
Additionally, remove fear potions can't be used while feared, now. Hmmm...so there is absolutely no reason to ever buy a remove fear potion now. Only a fool would waste an inventory slot for an item that he can only use on other people.
Apparently, the people at Turbine don't want people to be self-sufficient. They fail to provide an actual reason for this position, but they went ahead with it nonetheless.
Now, a barbarian must carry a cleric in his back pocket or otherwise he is completely useless in combat, and so is anyone else with madstone boots.
Way to go Turbine...nice job of being punitive towards your players for absolutely no reason.
Any responses that are not on-topic or that try to make the discussion about me will be immediately reported as being in violation of the terms of use.

This statement is absolutely meaningless, since the game itself is "100% optional".
Possibly using more than one summoned monster?
