La and Bioware are probably between a rock and a hard place now because of the EA CEO, the big pink elephant in their room is SWG lol. If they release info on the new MMO at the wrong time, SWG crashes and burns the next day; not from being closed but from the remainder of the player base going to a new SW game.

Well it got me thinking.
You know celebrities pull stunts to get free press?
Well maybe this highly educated CEO of one of the worlds largest gaming companies didn't "screw up" or let it slip out.
Maybe it's a brilliant piece of marketing to get the masses drooling over a game they are expecting to release in 2-4 years.
It's only brilliant strat if it works, which so far it seems to be working. I do believe it was no accident he let it slip, but only time will tell.
I also think Bioware/LA haven't mentioned anything because I'm guessing if they did SWG subscriber would drop like a rock because LA will probably want to pull the plug after the release of the new SW MMO. Not sure why they would pull the plug though, but a lot of other people seem to think this will happen. Either way, the news of a new SW MMO would suck the life out of SWG's current player base.
I have two things to say...WOOT!! ![]()
and...

That blows, I hate when things get deleted, unless it was seriously vulgar. Mine was a harmless crack at a fnaboi for pushing his agenda in our part of the forum. I guess he got all but hurt and reported the post?
I was not expecting this from mmorpg.com, for the most part they have been pretty good about what gets wacked and my last post that got wacked was by no means against forum policy.
I'm pretty sure the "fanboi" was me, and I didn't report anything. And I'm no "fanboi," trust me. Or don't, I don't care.
Haha, thats good to hear, it was hard to read into when I wrote the post so I tried to make it a neutral hit, but I suppose my plan failed since my post got deleted.
Oh well, I wonder what's going on then? Harmless post don't just get deleted like they have on this thread.
Well, to save this post from getting deleted I will say more about the OP topic. I wonder what SOE is planning by putting out crappy 5(really 3 since it's a totally different game) year vet rewards. Are they looking for a reason to flip the off switch for SWG? It would kind of make sense, it's like looking for a good reason to hit someone, you don't just do it, you have to make them want to hit you so you have a good reason to hit back.

Which IP would you like to see become Bioware's new MMO?
