    • Combat in Game
    • The most basic method to gain Experience (abbreviated "EXP") is through killing the wicked creatures that inhabit the world.Every time you slay something, you learn a little more about how to be a more effective warrior. This is represented quantitatively through EXP points. To attack an enemy, mouse-over it until your cursor turns into a small sword, then right-click to engage him. Your opponent's life is represented by his health bar. Each time you wound him, his health decreases until he dies.

Skills are an important part of the game, as well an important part of combat. Every character has a host of specialized combat skills you can use to kill opponents more effectively. There are four basic ways to use your skills:

      1. Instant-Use

An "instant-use" skill (or as it is more commonly called, an "instant") is one that can be used continuously as long you right-click the skill icon.

      2. Area of Effect

An "area of effect" skill is one that doesn't require you to have an chosen target, but instead generates a specific magical effect over a quantifiable area. Anything caught within that area has a chance to be affected.

      3. Targeted

A more specific type of skill that requires you to select a target before using. Examples of this type of skill are Single Target attacks and Magic skills.

      4. Ranged Area of Effect

Some area of effect skills can be used at long-range. Click the skill, and use your targeting reticle to mark the location where you want the spell to go off.

      Current Enemy

Once you engage an enemy, his vital statistics appear in the corner for the duration of the encounter.
