It sounds like the same thing Funcom did to get AoC out "on time;" and ever since, there has been nearly nothing but bitching about releasing an incomplete product on these forums.
Yeah I am sure they are busy polishing away especially when they just figured out that putting the White Lions into the game would be a good idea. How can you be "polishing" when you are still figuring out what to add to the game? I don't think concept art and polishing a final product can exist simultaneously, and alot of stuff is still concept art. I don't see it releasing this fall; at least in a more complete state than AoC did.
I have had far more issues with WoW. Fury, D@D online, etc. and I have been playing AoC since the before the "official release." Go back and research the promises that Blizzard made before WoW came out, and see how many didn't make it into release. There are plenty. Also as stated before, the graphics issues with WoW were much more severe and of longer term than anything I have seen with AoC. Your points could apply to any MMO released in the past decade. The chances of any mmo being released in the perfect state you wish for are about 0 unless it involves 10 years of testing; and then you will be bitching because the graphics look 10 years old.
I went to Best Buy and they had zero copies on the shelf so by your logic they must be selling a ton of games.
They think that Warhammer will magically be perfect and save the MMO world, and of course Warcraft will introduce new astounding features to satisfy them.
Are you still playing (or subscribed to) your first MMO?
