    • Stuttering on my PC. Need some advice!

Well I played WAR in the OB, but it was abit stuttering sometimes. Not when I was in combat, but when I was running, so probaly when I need to load a new scenerie.

I messed around abit with the GFX options, but it didn't really work. I know my computer isnt that great, but I just don't have that much money ;)

Well the specs are as follow:

      CPU: AMD Athlon 3000+

      Ram: 2Gig (4x 512)

      GFX: Nvidia 6800xt

      Mobo: Asus A8N Sli SE

      And some other shit

Could anyone sugest what to do? Buy a new CPU? I am not looking for max settings, but just to have the game runnig smooth.

      Thanks in forward!

If the stuttering only seems to happen traveling around and the first time your traveling in that area it's likely a hard drive slow down trying to load up the textures into your system ram. If it happens even if you've been in that zone area awhile for that particular game session it's some kind of system slowdown video card or cpu I'd assume since you seem to have enough ram and mostly likely video card.

      Dear all,
More than 100,000 European players have now created characters and launched enthusiastically into the violent and bloody battlefields of the Old World every evening. Despite this, for many of you and for us as well, the launch of the open beta has left a bitter taste. While it is true that the purpose of Beta Testing a game is to indeed expose problems before a game launches, the launch did not happen anywhere near as smoothly as we had planned.

Because of this I have decided to offer seven free days to all of the beta testers. If you decide to continue your adventures in WAR, and we certainly hope you do, you will be credited on your account from the 18th of September and will be able to take part in the adventure without any regret. By the beginning of next week, we expect many more to join us as we open the gates for our Head Start, and we look forward to welcoming all of you in the Warhammer world.

      Best regards,

      Wohooo!!!

Oh didnt see there already was a thread about it :p

Reminds me of WoWs first few months, Blizzard was giving out free time like candy =D and I got rotten teeth.

WoW was giving out free time because they were trying not to piss off the players who couldn't login to play the game because the servers were far to congested it wasn't being they were feeling generous that's for sure.

      WAR (Warhammer Online)
    • Darkfall: video and beta
    • is it really real or was that video a mirage? Very cinematic video. I wish they'd demonstrated the game ui and mechanics through the players eyes. The cinematic video was nice and all, but not a great representation of how the game will actually look and feel through the players point of view outside of screenshot wallpaper eye candy. The game really emphasizes the massively multiplayer part of MMO's it kinda showcases what's lacking in a lot of MMO game's as a result of excessive instancing and zoning. I haven't really seen as massive a player driven MMO since DAOC and UO glory days. Great video we just need to see a non cinimatic game play video next time.

      Darkfall
    • Warhammer Online : Age of Reckoning: Open Beta Starts September 7th.
    • I hope they aren't skimping out on the bug and stress testing part they might find a lot of players unwilling to lay down the dough to buy a game they didn't get the oppertunity to beta/stress test thoroughly especially with the track record of mmorpg companies release subpar launch products. For a game that's so pvp focused the short open beta worries me a lot about the overall server stress testing and makes me even more worried about the mid to high end game content. All we can do now is wait and see. For better or worse I hope it's good been waiting a long time on this one.
