• • Pirates of the Burning Sea: Community Interview

  • While the game has a lot of problems, the community management at FLS is the best of all the MMOs I have played. The only game I have seen come close (and not that close) is Mythic.

    They say every MMO released teaches the industry at least one thing. I believe that POTBS not only taught the industry about great ship combat but it slapped the whole industry in the face and screamed at them 'this is how you do good community relations'

  • Well, as a mod on the AoC forums, i can tell you it's against the Eula to post information about your account.  An example of this is to say that you are quitting the game, and canceled your subscription.

     

    And this is why AOC forums are screwed. They need to train the morons they have working on the boards. This guy is an idiot. Just think for a moment and you can see how if he really does believe what he says the forums are just going to remain a laughing stock.

    He believes saying you cancelled your account is against the EULA because your not allowed to talk about your account. Your not allowed to say your leaving because your talking about your account.

    if I say I subbed for a year and love he game then he would ban me because I am talking about my account. If I helped a guy with account problems and told him how I fixed mine he would ban me for talking about my account AND the guy asking for help, because its talking about his account.

    If this guy honestly believes that talking about your account is wrong, then he should be named shamed and kicked from the mod team.

  • The new Epic Instance is an all AvCom instance. Bay's was a mix of AvCom and ship combat.
