  • Even still saying you can find 100 people online at any time is laughable compared to the days of logging in and Going to Cnet and seeing over 200 people running around there and bunches of people in the Cantina. 

     

    Yeah, its pretty sad these days I guess. :(   First MMO I ever played that really felt Massively Multiplayer.  Alas, not any more.

    I was just doing some surfing and reading about the new GI Joe movie and was reminiscing about my old GI Joe toys. 

    I think this would make a fantastic GI Joe mmorpg.  Plenty of ways to customize toons and what not.  Would be awesome I would think. :)

  • Yeah, i remember early on that perhaps Jedi had something to do with odd landmarks.  Every so often I would come across something different...odd spire sticking out of the ground in the middle of nowhere.  So, I would sit and /ponder and do various emotes hoping something would click...heh. 

    I always thought grinding professions was way too easy for a way to get Jedi.  I wanted to see 5 random professions to grind, 10 random quests and 15 random POI's.    That way we could have left Jedi uber with the sabre damage but left a semi-permadeath on them.  5 deaths and then you would slowly reaccrue those deaths as your other toons played a few weeks or months or so.  Until you gained back a death you were a blue glowy... :) 

    Plus it would have made people play the game more rather than just grind, grind grind...

  • I just don't see why people keep talking about shutting down SWG.  Will they eventually have a server merge? Yes.  Will they stop development of new content? Yes.  Will they only patch and update eventually? Yes.

    EQ is still going despite being ages old(granted it wasn't royally screwed by SOE as far as I know) and Planetside is pretty terrible yet it continues to be a choice of a game for people to play. 

     

    SWG isn't going anywhere despite what we would want.  Not for a few more years at least.

• • So, I got invited to return to Vanguard

  • You know what, I take that back.  Just going into my subs info at SOE shows my status pending for Vanguard and says expires July 31st... Hmm.  Also have the same thing for EQ2. (8-1-8)

    I dont think if someone started a trial right now it would do much. It says on the email that if I bought a subscribed to the game I would lose the free game time.  I would be willing to bet the trial is still just the trial.
