  • Guys, damn,.. you would think I kick your dog or something..  many people come here and tell you what they think of games and thats why most people come here and read before they waste 50.00 to go buy a game,..  me,.   I just feel it was a waste of money.

    When I say AOC and WAR are kinda the same,.. I mean they are the same as the same old lame combat moves,.. the same lame move as in POTBS.  The combat is also like D & D.. 

    I like the comabt in DAOC and I was hoping it would be more like that. DAOC had a lot of cool things in it and I was hoping they would bring more from that game to this one.

    I think this game will turn out like another Vanguard,..  lots of people loving and in about a few months or so,.. the game will be empty.

    I also think that most of the games that come out today are junk to what they use to be..  just my thought, but oh well...  maybe someday someone will make a game I can like.

    You say you won't keep playing after the 30 days included with the retail cost, but you will play it for those 30 days.

     

    A single player game at 50 bucks that you play for 30 days would be considered worth the money, how is this different?

    Crude rule?,,  not a rule,  just my thoughts..  and no, I may not play it for the full 30 days, but I do want to give this game a full change, I did the same for AOC.  
     

    But then again,.. If I didn't play this game for the full 30 days,.. you would hammer me for not giving the game a fair chance,..  so, oh well.

    If you like it, good for you, I am glad you found a game to play, but as for me,..  I am going to pass I think unless I find something that keeps me going with this game.

  • Unless you like how AOC plays or Guild Wars.

    I guess I hate the way the combat in this game is,.. its very lame. I know some of you find this fun, but as I said,.. if you did not like AOC or Guild Wars, do not touch this game.

    A lot of you have come here from WOW and trust me, this game is not even close to WOW. I am not a WOW fan but WOW is better than this game... I haye to say that but its ture.

    I was playing DAOC and I was really wanting this game to be like DAOC, but what a HUGE let down.

    i have played: DAOC, AOC, SWG, EVE,  POTBS, Guild Wars, Asheron's Call, and COH, and WOW and I would say by far, this is the worst combat game play I have seen in a game.

    The missions stink, the pick of toon's you can play stink, and just about everything stinks with this game..

    The good??.. It looks pretty, nice job on the art work, but thats about it. I will not keep playing this after the 30 days and this was by far a waste of 50.00.

  • I use to play DAOC and liked it, how does war hold up to DAOC?  I know some of the things DAOC had in it, they were going to bring to WAR..

    Chill. I only played it on the weekends and on my day off. 1-20 is very simple to play, as I said, and is in the game to teach you a lot of moves. At level 6, you have the 1 2 3 and maybe one combo on button 4 (if you are melee). Levels 1-20 are really not representitive of later gameplay, but that's ok. Your review helps new people I am sure.

     

    For my part, I cancelled my subs after reaching 30 on a few different classes. AOC will do fine, but its not my cup of tea.

    Why then, you ask, do I hang out here reading posts for AOC? I'll tell you. I am bored and I read A LOT of forums, skimming not just the boards of this game but WAR and others too. I like reading. I like reading about MMOs, and I like chatting about them. I hope to one day read something about AOC that will make me re-evaluate my opinion and try the game again.

    Anyway, your review is a valid as any other. Don't worry about what others say, its what you think that shuld govern your decision.

    Ya, some of the kids hate it when you kinda bash on thier new game...  but thats the thing.. I am not really bashing it,..  just giving my point of view from a new player, who first goes in to the game is all...  you would think I kicked someones dog...   lol
