    • Way too many bugs and missing content in AoC to warrant such a high score. I don't agree at all with that score and I'm what the haters would call a rabid fanboi.

      Age of Conan
    • Age of Conan still best-selling US PC game (latest figures from end last week)
    • I find it almost surreal when someone post an official statistic on sales numbers and you get branded fanboi for it. Wow... I mean WOW! So now you can't even post official statistics. I'm flabbergasted (yeah I know but it's a cool word) by the hard agenda-ridden logic some of the users in this place got. If you post something positive no matter how true it is you're a fanboi. WOW! There's just too much ignorant riff-raff on this forum.

I got a warning the other day for flaming someone so the smart thing would probably be to tone down my rethoric on mmorpg, but to tell you the truth I don't give a shit. Let them ban me if they like. All I need is an excuse to stop logging into this cesspool of a forum. If a ban is what it takes then thank you mmorpg. I don't know why I'm still logging in here. Bad habit perhaps. Just like I was still playing WoW after the first year I guess. The game was exactly the same today as it was yesterday, and it wouldn't change tomorrow in a good way either. The same as with MMORPG. Why the hell did I still play it if it bored me? I just needed a real life event to break the spell and I never looked back. Bad habits are hard to break though.

I was hoping that the people that actually play the game would have this forum for themselves. A forum where we could discuss the game and not just how much it sucks in 200 different ways. There's more posts on how crappy the game is then about the actual game. We know it's not perfect, but it's our game. We like it! I was also hoping that I could use mmorpg in the future to discuss other games when I grew tired of AoC. I guess it's stretching it a bit far as the same flamers will probably just move on to that game. After all it's a "threat" against their game so they'll just move there and start their vicious bile all over again.

MMORPG is cesspit devoid of rational argumentation. Well maybe not devoid. There's a few notable exceptions of course, but they're the minority. So feel free to ban me. Maybe that's what I need to start an account on TTH.

Really lets talk about Funcom here. One of the worst release in MMO history and could never recover, a company that can't take responsability. Their game Dreamfall sold poorly and they blamed it on pirates. They can't even get some of the most fundamental aspects like combat to work in AoC, that they said they needed to delay the game because of it. We all know they were no where near release and just make excuses. Also for the longest time they showed nothing and made the game look like vaporware, I would not buy their stock even if it was $1 a piece, the company is mis-managed.

And as always you fail to put together a logical argument on the topic at hand. This has nothing to do with personal feelings, gameplay, RvR or how successful DAoC was compared to Funcom games. It's about economics. It's about putting credible numbers on the table.
You responded to me by tossing out some ludicrous numbers taken out of thin air, without any sources except your own. I then tried to explain to you how the one that invest and risk money reaps the profit from a success. In AoC Funcom has taken all the risk while Eidos has taken none, thus the profit goes to Funcom not Eidos. Eidos is chosen by Funcom as the publisher, not the other way around. It's capitalism and logical. You then reply to me arguing about RvR, DAoC and gameplay. This thread isn't about how good the game is, how bugged it is and so on. It's about economics.
