The closest thing in comparrison to this type of epic seige battles, and taking over (for example) a province, then a "state" and so on, until able to actually lay claim to an entire territory is Dark and Light, which was obviouslly a failboat.

If you are in a guild, great, as this woul dbe key.....as well as alliances, et see some of you all actually get to this point, and THEN lay out the judgements.

From my experience thus far,  most of the player base doesn't yet grasp this aspect of the game,  you can deffinetly tell the WoW players, as all most of them do is stand around waiting on Scenarios to queue up.

To the OP, at least you went out and did (more) while waiting for your scenario queue to come up,  but I invite folks to look at the game with their blinders off!  The trailer vids tell you what "the goal" is, hehe.....it is not just ad hype.   As you can take over teh known world in this game as it were.

I am also confident that Mythic, after seeing how the player base progresses and "makes" their experience "grow", they too will have a better idea in how to expand their game.

Heh......it is RvR, and REAL RvR at that.....you can also tell the people used to getting to max lvl and want to gear out for end game all to well as they think the guy next to them is "butting in" when they attack the same mob, so on......all the class roles are there for a reason ;)  if you see a tank getting waylayed, and your a healer, just because they aren't in your grp, or you don't know them, SO what.....throw that heal to them, as they ARE part of your realm!

I think once folks stop making the comparrisons to this game or that and actually get the whole concept, and all aspects of WAR, you will all be getting a much richer experience from it....

      My 2 cents..... =)

All aspects of war is to take the other sides city. You do it by RvR,  the way we do it in scenarios or rvr lakes. That's it. The end game is what we get at level 1 but we have more skills amd the keeps are getting bigger. There's nothing to do but scenarios and they are getting old quick.

I was thrilled about playing a true RvR-game but I don't have any fun. It's hard to explain. No gear grind, I don't have to play 24 hours a day and i can PvP from level 1. It's everything I want but the fun isn't  there and I can't  say exactly why.

Is it the execution or the design? I don't know.

edit: Mrvicchio posted something that might be the reason why I don't enjoy war as much as I thought I would. I don't know, but check  the t hread out .

You don't have to use that feature if you think it makes the game too easy. You can still go hardcore and do it the old way.
