I think they could easily accomplish making jedi a starter class, just make them weak for a long time until they get to high levels, no lightsaber for a long time, minimal force ability. Make it to the point that the other classes are easier to play, but the jedi will pay off after MUCH training, thats how it is in the star wars universe anyways isnt it?
Lets say they go on a 50 level scale. No force powers that do real damage until 35-40, lightsaber at 40-45, Jedi Master at 50. If you want to be a jedi you should have to work harder than any other character the majority of the game, say 45 levels worth, whereas a bounty hunter or smuggler is much easier to get better, but can not take a level 50 jedi master one on one, you cant in the star wars universe and you shouldnt be able to in kotor, but lets face it, a bounty hunter could take a padawan any day.
Perhaps the other classes should be allowed to go past 50, in order to equal out the strength at high levels, but any level past 50 should be extremely difficult to get. Anyways, thats just my 2 cents, Im really looking forward to the game.
