I'm not going to lie now, I'm beginning to get a bit bummed out about this. It's like they're flaunting the Collector's Edition in the face of everyone that didn't get in on it during that (arguably) short time it was being offered by adding new bonuses that weren't there before. x_x
But eh, that's just me. Way I see it, I'm not quite nerdy enough to get the CE anyway... Let the true Warhammer fans have it. I'd just like to have the extra face choices and bonus quests is all. :P
you're kidding right? The CE's went on sale 6 months ago with the advertisement that one reward for ordering the CE is you'd get headstart. After they sold the 60K copies, they then tell everyone that pre-orders they'll get to start early too...kind of a kick in the head to people that ordered the CE. If the CE pre-orders didn't start earlier then it would have been a bigger kick in the face of the CE orderers...be happy you're getting a headstart at all, because frankly I think pre-ordering headstart is kind of sill, as there's really no reaosn to expect anyone who was planning on buying on the 18th to not have pre-ordered once they heard they'd get to start earlier. The CE order's paid to get their headstart...

It isn't EST, it's EDT time-zone.
"Collector's Edition pre-order customers will be granted Head Start access on September 14th at 7am EDT. Characters created in the Head Start program will carry over when the servers officially go live on the Day of Reckoning - September 18th."
semantics, it's basically the same thing right now. The only differentiation is for during the winter because not all states/countries observe daylight savings during the winter.

im just saying there will be lvl 40s before launch easily...
no...there won't be. the last time anyone's even been given the chance to level 1-40 in beta was a eyar ago, and it took considerably longer than a week. More like a month. and that was with permanent rested XP. The curve is so signiciantly greater in levels 21-40, it's like a totally different game. My guess is *maybe* there are some crazies who don't sleep that hit 40 by October, but I wouldn't bet on it.

The question most of us probably have to ask is... If you are lvl like 10 and a lvl 80 pvp guy rushes at you. Is there any chance in hell?
And why on on earth should you? It's this mentality that has continued the degradation fo the MMO to the least common denomintor. Why you think your two day toon shoudl be able to compete with someone who has spent months or years on a character is absurd. If you want to paly a game where everyone is born equal feel free to log onto CS:S or UT3.
what really is the relevance of these "ifs" though?
If I had a 100mph fastball and a 3 foot breaking curve I'd be in cooperstown...but i don't. See the futility?
The way i see it, WAR is going to be a real good game for the foreseeable future, but there's still room down the road for a new mmo to really wow us. (no pun intended)
