• • My monitor has died.

  • Yes she was an old 18inch CRT and I have been forced to upgrade. The problem I have been coming across is what to do with this old baby. My garbage company said they won't take it, best buy doesn't do it and circuit city said they have also stopped their program. So what to do. I am located in Washington State and any ideas for what to do with this thing would be appreciated.

  • Warriors have hamstring and an AOE fear effect on a 3 min cooldown. Other classes have probably better escape powers, but its not fair to say warriors have none at all. Those two tricks have saved my warriors hide more times that i can count-

  • Regardless of wether were talking about time loss or a death penalty truth is that no mmorpg in the actual times is hardcore enough to cater to a self respecting mmorpg lover. When your character dies, not only should he stay permanently dead and permacancel your account; your pc should explode, jagging pieces of monitor into your brain and setting your house on fire. Anything below that level is carebear for me.

• • Is forum information about vanguard credible?

  • I bought this game when it first launched. I had the same horrible experience nearly everyone else had and canceled my sub before the month was up. Ive been reading the forums about vanguard now and then and i thought i detected a consistent idea about the game having improved a lot and people having little or no difficulty playing it in the same machines that had failed to do so 18 months before.

    So i bit .  I renewed my subscription and voila¡¡ and incredible change: my char keeps moving as if it were swimming in butter, i still get 4-6 fps per second even in the outside but.... i crash every 5 mins , whereas at the beginning i could only do it every 30 mins or so.

    My rig is not good. Its a pentium 3000 with 2 gigs ram. Even so one would think the game would be minimally playable at really low settings . It isnt. I even have to switch the sound off (that helps with the crashing, dont ask me why).  What really ticks me off if how different my experience is from practically everyone else writing in this forum. I could accept most of the trouble is in my end of the bargain, but ive readen posts here about getting insane fps and playability with rigs no better than mine. And i dont want outstanding playability and graphics. I only want it to work .

    It isnt doing it.
