If players don' talk during PQ's (some cases), Scenerios (all cases) they loose. Agreed, WAR needs a but more Risk for the reward - maybe something that needs to be tweaked.
I think the EGO is not to far to find but its not in the game.....
Www.mmorpg.com takes time to review games. They wait until the game has been out for a while to pass judgment.
This does not mean what you say are untrue. Many of your points are valid no matter how the long game has been out; they are about game mechanics. But other points are based on BETA, which is why the site your write for did not publish your article.
You should come back in two or three or four months and try it again. Maybe things will have changed.
For once we have a game with a clean launch and a semblence of PVP that is not the same as other games.
Otherwise, you should just be waiting for Darkfall.
not having those classes in right now makes sense. once they are released, people will go back and start over allowing new players just coming into the game for the first time to be along side those who have played and not find empty starting zones.
Aside from that, the expansion potential this game has is just mind boggeling.
I've played Eve - and loved it - I go back every so often.
I played EQ2 - and USED to go back but can only stick to one fantasy MMORPG at a time.
I played CoH and got borred.
I played WOW and thought it was fun but got borred fast and never went back.
So far, WAR is a blast - more so then WOW ever was. There is an addicitive feel to doing PQ, RVR and Scenerios. playing an engineer and I can only say, what a unique class.
TO be honest, its not even close. Try WAR for yourself, you wont regret it.
What is your favorite fantasy character type?
