Placed my order with BOOM 2 days ago. Just got an email from them that my order has been shipped!!
I am hoping my specs are up to par and that 4 in 5 others entering this contest are not, increasing my chances for enterence!
I just ordreed four copies directly from BOOM. I am only using 1 of the codes a giving the other three codes to friends. I sent BOOM a quick email through their 'contact us' link and asked when they expect to ship the comic. They responded less than an hour later with :
We hope to have these shipped out by the end of this week or over the weekend.
Mark is stilling doing work at DC and Marvel. No worries. We still
let him write for the big two!
Best,
BOOM! Studios
My only real fear for this game is that one will out number the other making the battlefields no fun. I know they will say they will spawn more NPC for the side with less players....but this is not the same.
DAOC had that 3rd realm which was great, if one was overpowering, the other two would team up.
Does any know of any plans other than NPC spawns for balancing the battlefields?
You are not paying $10 to get into beta. You are paying $10 out of $79 for your CE. Withthatsaid, I do think open beta would mean open to ANYONE....but oh well, if they are letting me play the game before it is released by buying the CE, they can call it anything they want.
For other posters who bought at gamestops that have no code.....i was worries that i would get screwed so avoided gamestops and ended up buying from the bricks and mortar bestbuy....they had the boxes with the codes in it!
Ok, so I went to the best buy that I called yesterday, one of the two which said they had no copies....AND....yep there were about 20 copies on the shelf. Got me one.
There was a guy there who said he was in closed beta BTW. He told me a bunch of stuff that you could learn on the board and only about two things that I had not seen webssite, but I am guessing are not that big of a secret.
The one thing he did say which was interesting is how he got into closed beta. He went to a gamewrokship....one of those places where they were playing the table top game when mythic was there. Point is he got into closed beta with no previous beta experince just by going and visting mythic an event. Just so you know.
Oh yeah, I had no problem what so ever entereing my open beta code and having it register.
Which IP would you like to see become Bioware's new MMO?
