at this point its pretty clear that Pirates of the Carribean and Fly For Fun will hold a significantly larger player base than Darkfall.

Figure it like this....
War has an offical release date, DF has yet to give any concrete about any form of beta other than internal alpha testing. (and thats stretching it)
Also keep in mind, DF has already broken their hopeful beta testing dates multiple times. over the course of years... delaying it a couple months every now and then sure... 2.... 3.... 4 years or more go by and no sign of beta or anything remotely close, isn't saying anything positive about the game.
All and all... buy WAR, you'll be able to get that $50 back by the time DF releases, assuming it releases.
