• • Beta Codes & CE Edition Question

    My question is, I have bought the pre-order box from HMV over here in the UK and I have pre-ordered a copy of the Collector's Edition. But say if I just bought a standard edition (with just the discs, no art book etc etc) of WAR, would I still be able to use my pre-order box codes for the open beta, early access and exclusive items in-game?

  • Hey there

    So I know the game has been announced for Fall 2008 but I was wondering, when exactly do you think it will ship? Early fall like September/October or in time for Christmas? When I bought my CE pre-order box today and pre-ordered my CE the guy in the store said they have it down for a 12th September release but I am thinking they are just taking a random guess at this date. So what do you guys think?

  • The only thing included in the preorder box is a leaflet saying something along the lines of 'Thank you for pre-ordering the WAR CE. In here you will find three codes for open beta, early access, exclusive in game items etc...'

    So I decided to buy the preorder box from HMV (I'm in the UK) for the WAR collector's edition today, as I had already preordered it on Play.com but decided to cancel as lately they have been kinda upredictable with game releases eg. GTA IV. Basically my question is, does me buying the preorder box guarantee me a copy of the CE when it comes out? The guy in HMV took my name and telephone number and put me down for the CE so I am presuming so? I was pretty annoyed at the fact you have to pay £9.99 for the preorder box (in which you just get a leaflet with your 3 codes on) and then £69.99 when the CE comes out.  Although I guess you are getting a lot of bang for your buck with the WAR CE from the stuff thats meant to be coming with it.

  • Awesome, I got 60 days free aswell, and 54 days left on EQ1. I was just thinking about resubbing actually cos I used the 7 day trial key to see how well the game ran on my system (as I have built a new PC, my old one sucked that I used to play EQ2 on and I got really bad framerates) and decided to resub then noticed 60 days free.
