      Hi Ulrick,

Yes, the US community does have a manager, that would be me. I didn't have the opportunity to make contact with the staff here on MMORPG.com until today. My account has been properly flagged and here I am as a result. Expect to see a lot of interaction between the Aion community and myself.

Efforts to bring Aion into the US community's awareness are stepping up. More details are forthcoming SOON™ so I can't go into details, but Penny Arcade Expo is the place to be this summer if you are interested in Aion.

      Cheers,

I thank OP and the rest of this thread for producing this result! :)

Already did happen. Last update. It's great for my fishing.

Which update? I have been fishing and farming since the last one and my inventory does not sort at all. Is it an option in config? Are we talking about an update to FFXI or an update to Windower?

Auto-sort is under Config>Gameplay - it's an update to FFXI.

I'm sorry I just though for a second that you would be smart enough to read between the lines and realize that -- I don't know -- maybe the things that I found good about FFXI I'd like to see in a new MMO while the things that were bad I wouldn't; all the while responding to your exact topics creating continuity and flow to the thread as a whole. I though that was pretty transparent and the purpose of the thread instead of looking for some justification that what you like is great and what you don't like and awful and thus flaming people that have the opposite opinion of you like a jacka**. Here is something you should watch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=60YrgYEqNyU  . You are the exact person this video was made for, not on the topic perse, but the message it brings.

Loyalty? Really you want to use the word loyalty to descibe the HNMLS leaders that I know?

The last shell I was in just booted someone last night while camping Behemoth with that shell. Yes the leader of the shell booted a member of her own linkshell while at an event to help out a member of that linkshell. Why would someone do that you ask? Because he was in a social linkshell earlier when no other events were going on chatting it up with his friends. Maybe possibly it was that she needs (needs used very liberally) the KB item for a blackbelt too and they were not camping for her? I don't know if that had anything to do with it too, I wouldn't put it past that b****, but that is speculation. The reason he that he was booted was because he was in the socal shell. A linkshell that has no rules about keeping other shells booting a member that doesn't ask for anything from the shell and comes to events when he can? Do you want to rethink the word loyalty? The word does go both ways.

How about the last LS i got booted from? What did I get booted for? Because I was doing Assaults with members of another linkshell. The leader was so much of a control freak that if you did anything with another else you were wrong and she would keep members down thinking that they will never get another accomplished without her. Real Nazi brainwashing bulls*** here. So I got booted because doing assaults with another group. The shell I was even doing Assaults and I was not doing them during the times of any events were going on. This was all after 3 months where the leader didn't show up because her and her husband were playing D&D Online for a while. So when they come back and see i'm doing something out of linkshell I get a 16 page email detailing the exact ways I am supposed to be acting whether they are there or not and an ultimatum to stop or be booted. All those months of helping out people of this shell to get booted over doing an event like assault that the group isn't even doing? That isn't a question of loyality it is a question of salvery.

As for the while kings example I gave in my last post. I wasn't awake at 4 AM because I had this one small minor obligation. A JOB. One of those real ones and not the "What kinda of Squshy would you like?" one that you can call out of 3 minutes before your shift starts and mommy will give you gas money anyway. Working for the government, justice department, helping put criminals in jail. Somehow this wasn't more important to the leader of that shell than camping from 1-4 am in the morning when I need to get up at 5:30 so I can ride a train into the city, work for 9 hours, ride the train back out of the city and finally get home 12 hours after I left my house. The leader was in his early 20s by the way. The one above in her late 20s early 30s. The one above that I think she is 24 maybe 23 or 25. And as a point of information. I was in that shell for almost 2 years of my time playing and I don't think I was up at 4 am more than twice since I started playing. I have no idea where they would get the impression that I would be there for a camp like that.

Maybe you have it lucky over on Rangnerok, but over here on Asura it is either the norm or I find the freaks. I have seen a***holes like these people push a lot of good people out over the course of 5 years in this game. And what do they care. They see everyone as a bottom feeder. They lamb and throw the dogs the bone. I would love to find a group of people who have lives who have wives and kids and jobs and all this good stuff. A group that is mellow and is about helping the group and not about some loot whoring c***.

You used a third party tool; thus you are a cheat. Sorry there is no two ways to slice that one. There is no damage parser in the game. If SE wanted one they would have programmed it in or allow third-party programmers. Since they don't and you used a third-party tool which is agaisnt the EUA you are a cheat. I don't care how noble your intentions are. If you wanted to help out the little guy or make the good guys better or what. Third party tool ... cheat. I have lead shells I have had to do similar things albeit not on damage parsing an HNM. I don't use tools to make my life easier. Worst tool I ever used was Microsoft Excel on my laptop while playing FFXI on my desktop. I could easily figure out who my best players were and who where just along for the greed. It isn't hard to keep track of player performace, something you might not understand unless you do it without a tool.

I'm sorry to hear about your previous linkshell experiences. :(

    • Wierd Billing
    • $0.45 seems to be the daily rate if it is $14.99 per month. Funcom must have decided to charge you for an additional day for whatever reason it is between your starting and billing dates.

    • New MMO/Console?
    • Personally, I think that the Rapture project is either another Final Fantasy MMO (70%) or a Dragon Quest MMO (20%).

I highly doubt that FFXI will make the jump from PS2 to PS3. It is possible for nearly half of all FFXI players to be playing in PS2 - the platform is especially prominent in Japan. I think that FFXI has kept its limits within the PS2 all this time possibly because it does not want to risk losing part of maybe 250,000 subscribers.
