Yup and thats the truth, you cant expect to get healed all the time, also you die and respawn jsut move on and pick up from where you left off...There are times when you DO get healed but then theres like a whole group of enemy players on you, you shouldnt complain, healers do what they can. you cant expect them to out heal damage from 6 people. Its all about having fun, people who die and complain takes the game too seriously.

When I charge, I always go for the healers first. And then when they gang up on me I run back to my party. Works like a charm, sometimes I dont make it but O well better luck next time.

      WAR (Warhammer Online)
    • WAR is a great game ..IF you are destruction

Are you saying that class balance favours destruction? You need to go and try playing destruction in t3 or t4 scenario and then come talk about balance between classes.

I'll agree that there are more destruction than order in general, but when it comes to class balance,  it definately favours order.  Furhternore, order tends to hug scenarios, and not even show their face in rvr until it's offpeak hrs, past destruction kiddies' bedtime.  Imo, they need to put some caps on number of scenarios you can do per hr/day, it is killing open RvR, which what they game is supposed to be about.

Order seems to be more organized as well, since most of the wow kiddies are plaguing destruction.

I beg to differ, on my server (Magnus) Order players are so uncoordinated and inexperienced. For example:

Tier 2 Phoenix gate scenario, there would be 1 player from destro side cross the bridge and lure in a few players from order, those guys get killed...and then the healers run in to try and heal...then they get killed...then the dark elf witches who is invised comes and grab the flag runs it back. This happens at least about 75% of the time that I play this scenario. Theres no teamwork, they are a bunch of idiots. I get frustrated with ignorant fools like them.

    • Make Scenarios mean something!

Secondly, scenarios are awesome because you not only get XP and Renown Points, but you also get great gear apart from Renown Gear.

Some of you might not get that -- loot the players when you kill them.  You can even level your scavenger skills in Scenarios if thats the path you chose.  I've actually found a couple set pieces in T2 and T3 scenarios, so to say its pointless is incorrect, there are many positives to Scenarios.

Also -- Keeps... if anyones actually been in a good siege then you'll know protecting and taking a keep and an area in a populated region is fun, tough, and exciting.  I've held a keep off for over an hour as well as took the surrounding points with a single full warband just two days ago.  What people fail to realize is in order to truly experience it, you should be in a guild that actually cares when they get word a keep lord is being attacked.

Whether you're in a guild or not, sieging a keep is fun only if you get people to do it. I had a group of 3 and we were able to break open the door just fighting it and not using battering rams. It took us forever but still managed to do it without destruction players coming to defend. So then I decided to go into scenarios to recruit people to come join in...I did it 4 times and STILL no enemies were around, and no one cared to come. Its sad really, an undefended keep and no one wants to take over it (even my guild). People dont realize that once you take over a keep you can buy renown gear/weapon. But o well, I'll be making a destruction character very soon anyway. Order side is just way too uncoordinated and a bunch of idiots (at least on my server).

      WAR (Warhammer Online)
    • WAR is a great game, people who quit or do not feel like logging in after 2weeks are simply burnt out!

Warhammer was supposed to be RvR, with a splash of scenarios and a splash of PVE.

Right now, the majority of players are spending their time in scenarios, and the ones that aren't, aren't finding RvR so they are pveing... neither of which are set up to be 'the game'.

I completely agree as much as it sucks it needs to be done. Why pay 15 dollars a month for instanced scenarios? PQ's and RVR need a big XP buff and scenarios need a major nerf. Otherwise at 40 RVR will be worthless and it will be known as an instanced PVP game with possibility of open RVR like WOW.

Yup, sorta makes me feel like I could play Guild Wars for free doing the same thing. I liked this game because it takes team effort to make something happen, but then its only happening in scenarios and not RvR. I want to make a good difference, but not doing scenarios. There's no fun in that, it has the same theme and you play it over and over again. But thats the only place where I can find a group and thats the only reason I do scenarios. I rarely see anyone in the RvR areas, its dull and lacking people.

But how would the guild wars game play compare to war?

Its pretty much the same thing as WAR, when you wanna do PvP you join in queue for instanced battling. When you wanna PvE you go out and fight/quest and if you feel lonely you can even hire mercenaries to fight with you. Its been a LONG LONG time since i played Guild Wars but, Instanced PvP is what its good at.

      WAR (Warhammer Online)
    • LF Game with different realms, good pvp, crafting, and no char. lvls
    • Ultima Online, if you dont mind the dated graphics you should try it out.

Its skilled based, crafting is one of the toughest and rewarding thing to do.

PvP isnt so much around anymore, unless of course you play the private servers.

Its still a great game, talking about makes me wanna subscribe again.

O yeah forgot to mention you can tame/summon almost anything you see. Also the only full customizable housing game to date.
