    Strategic Planning?  LOL!!... bush and rumsfeld have better strategic planning than tasos.  I think Darkfall has been in development longer than the Iraq war.

    Harvard?  Harvard must not be that big on having English courses because he's made countless grammatical errors in his journals and his ability to clearly express himself and explain details in writing is dismal at best.  He is constantly making mistakes and writing post-journals for errors or confusing statements he has made in previous journals.  Not to mention many lies and blatant misleading statements and miscalculations such as "2005 clan beta sign ups" and "summer 2007 beta".  Seriously, AoC was a few months off, but how in the world can somebody be more than a year off, let alone 3 years??

    Community management.... don't even get me started on that one...

    Mortal Online is the only really threat.  Earthrise is a Sci Fi MMO and Darkfall and Mortal online are Fantasy themed.

    Mortal Online has alot of Development to do still, good 2 years at least.   So Darkfall gets released before that, Darkfall will be successful as long as the feature list is complete and the game is as fun as it seems to be.

     

    Why does everyone forget about Renaissance?  Rensaissance is actually the biggest threat to Darkfall, although it is not that far along in development it certainly has more revolutionizing features than Mortal Online, and has many planned features that rival Darkfall's like in-game VoIP.  In Renaissance, elves have higher hearing capabilities than other races so if your an elf, you can actually hear people talking in-game from further distances than other races can.  As you walk closer and further from people their voices get louder/sound more distant.  Ren also has man-made transportation and players can alter the environment like create caves, as well as having just about every other feature that Darkfall has described.

    It is all opinions.  NOBODY has facts because we are not the developers of Darkfall.

    It is that simple.  We will be fighting back and forth for ever (or until it is released)  with just each others opinions.

    Trolls, haters, whatever else you want to be called have no more facts then the fan's do but yet both sides demand their opinions are more valid then the other side.

    For me personally its not so much about Darkfall as what Darkfall brings to the table.  The feature list is the only thing that matters to me.  

    If another games comes along with the same feature list as Darkfall, I will be watching and playing that game.

    I want a fantasy themed game with the same feature list as Darkfall.... Darkfall happens to be the game right now that has the feature list I want as a player. 

     

    Yea. and nobody can say that duke nukem is fake or real either.  So tell me then?  Does your scenario still apply after 10 years?  What about 15 years?  At what point(time-frame) is a particular game/project officially considered a joke?

  • Turn based gameplay??? jesus christ, what the hell are developers smoking today.  As if we don't have enough garbage mmorpgs out there, a company has to come out with a game like this.

    I'll admit I was attracted to the game by the name alone "Atlantica".  But the first sentence in the description of it nearly made me vomit.  And by the options in the poll with the reference to WoW, I can already see where the mindless drones such as yourself have their frame of mind in.

    If you consider this game a "breath of fresh air" you really need to check yourself into a psychiatric ward.

  • After 7 years, it's safe to say at this point that hardcore darkfall defenders a.k.a blind df fanbois are one of two things:

    A) Paid Aventurine employees or the devs themselves

    B) Just heard about Darkfall recently/are relatively new thus they have only 12 posts like Silverarch.
