That was my thought exactly! All this seems to be is the system they have in L2 with some "PvP levels" added on. I don't play on a PvP server, since I don't like FFA PvP that much. And this doesn't offer me a reason to change that thought. I enjoy PvP very much, but in a more sensible setting (where characters of relatively equal power are pitted against each other). Perhaps they will add more features to the PvP play, but who knows how long that may take them...
From the sounds of their recent interviews about the XBox version, I doubt it will be released anytime this year, if at all. As for the "expansion" they're developing, I think an MMO should always be working on new content along-side fixes. HOWEVER, for them to have plans for an expansion so soon after initial release (and a release that was lacking in sufficient content) is a slap int he face to purchasers who bought in around launch. It's a good game, offers some new features and style, but it doesn't have enough content for late-game characters and the current siege system is nothing short of a mess.
Let's see:
1. You have a total of 3 posts on these forums.
2. You have a banner for the game you're "reviewing" in your signature.
3. You speak of "possible" future content as if you're rather sure of it.
4. Everything in the game is wonderful and there are no drawbacks according to what you say.
... I would not trust a word of it. Not to mention that CLOSED beta under NDA cannot be discussed on these forums as it is a violation of forum rules and the NDA.
Ouch! That's harsh news to all the HG:L players. Looks like all development will stop, but does this also mean that the game's multiplayer servers will be coming down?
They're not "put off", they're shelved (meaning GONE). He clearly said they didn't get good feedback on the classes they chose to remove, so they took them out. It was never mentioned that they will be going back in the game. As for the cities, he said they were also HALTED and their efforts are going into having a 2-city scheme. They are NOT continuing work on those other 4 cities. They are NOT continuing work on the 2 classes that were CUT.
If you expect them to be coming into the game, you better be expecting ONE HELL of a wait...
