Not all stores have staff like you described, There are a few out there you just have to be lucky enough to find one that is helpful.  I know what you mean though about some of the staff at other stores, I have been to a few others that were  horrible, I think it has everything to do with management.  If you have a good manager, you will have a good staff.  The Gamestop near me luckily knows how to treat their patrons.  I don;t even have to call them to check on things, they call me and let me know if what I was looking for came in and they set it aside for me... but then again they might just like calling me because I am a girl  hahaha!

Girls like you walk into the store and they are tripping over themselves to help you instead of me. I get left standing there  while it takes the entire staff just to to help one girl. YEA I see how that works.

What was the point of people doing that though.

You have to ask? It was to release their inner beast. It was a release of their frustrations with society, civilization and the state of the world.  Everything that Metallica once stood for.  It was to let loose and not care, because in society as we know it, there are so many external pressures  and so much self control is necessary in order to survive it that it builds and builds to the point that  people feel the need to unleash their most primitive desires such as rage and violence in mosh pits, and for the adrenaline rush of it all, in order to make themselves feel truely alive again.  We are taught to be docile,  against our wills and sometimes those wills need to release as well.  When you hold in all of that anger and frustration all of the time you become a very uptight individual, if you are allowed to fully express yourself and unleash the internalized frustration in an outward manner such as smashing something , hitting something,  you can feel the weight lifted from you , and for once you can feel free of the burden that" behaving yourself" puts on you.

I love it when a girl describes the need to release your inner beast.

    • Pvp and perma-death
    • I for one would not play this game. From your stance as a developer I can see that you could probably care less if I play it or not, but as a business person you should know why you will have less customers. You have very  strong opinion of how things should be and the way it comes across to me is that you don't really seem to care about those players who do like pvp. I want a game where I never have to fight a monster or npc at all. I would rather be able to fight othr players only in order to gain loot and levels fighting real players because they are challenging. I do not fight for the kill, I fight for the challenge. I want a game that has little or no npc involvement what so ever. I could care less if I actually kill a player, or that player kills me, I want the fight. I would not play a game with perma death because I would never be able to get ahead in the game if I was perma dying when I was just trying to level. Why would I want to lose everything I worked for in order to just have fun in the game? I do not think that someone who does not understand pvp should attempt to design pvp, they should hire someone who does pvp, and loves it and understands it, so that the game will have decent pvp in it.

    • I vote for deviliscious. I think that it would take some of her extreme ideas to actually grab peoples attention and breathe new life back into the game. After all of the bad press if has received, it would take something like that to convince them it is worth trying again.

    • It seems devil has some stalkers. I thought this was Runescape forums, not  the Deviliscious stalker fan club. Why do guys follow around all the attractive ladies on forums running them off? That is no way to treat a lady.
