• • What will happen when 2009 gets here and Darkfall changes it's promise to 'summer 2009' ?

  • Ultimately for us mmo'ers sitting on the fence, the release of video next month ( about 6 days away, or more if its at the end of Aug) will mostly make or break this game for us. But to those that see this game as their only hope, as they are tired of the current quest-base,  raid-or-die,  pvp-or-die gene, i believe most of them will continue to try to defend this game.

     

    " Whats wrong with the DEV having problem with releasing the video when they are FINALLY having their deserve break???"
    "Whats the problem when they are focusing on the matter that counts, the gameplay rather than some stupid PR thing??? " etc......

     

    But if what Tasos have promises still dosen't come to pass.... i seriously urge all mmo'ers to be very careful and don't defend a game in blind....

     

    You may have a very good excuse for the reason that AVE is currently in the state that they are running  the game now and their PR, but your reason dosen't mean it's their's and doesn't mean its the truth....

     

    Just hope that i can help us gamers to really learn and be careful of where we put our money, ever since DNL till now,  AOC...

     

    Pls be prudent...........

     

    Defend with valid reason and to a respected company, and not some new and unknown just startup company.... Even Failcom fail..... be wary.....be very careful dude.....

    Will 2008 be the end of it all when they do not launch and do not deliver a beta?  Fore sure any credibility they might have had left would be completely gone even in the eyes of the fanbois.

    If they fail to deliver any kind of a video with new material which they have promised for 2008, then yes, many people will burn out. This is the one shot which Aventurine shouldn't miss.

    So yes, Aventurine is now experiencing the critical moments with Darkfall, but let's not get attack them too rabidly based on predictions. We'll see what happens, this year. I'd like to point out, that Tasos is known to be very tight lipped with his PR actions and he has never before said anything to be official. Except for this time and this year.

    Many so called "fake release dates" are based on gossips, which have formed, because Tasos does state his things in an unclear way sometimes.

    Now, let's wait and see.

    Since you put it this way, than i believe we will see the new video next month, i hope that it will really come to pass.... but.... what happen if its still not release? And Tasos still give excuses why its not being release?

    Though i've said i really like to see this game being release, but there's a limit as to whether it's really the truth or somebody  just trying to spin us around all these time.

    If they have met with some financial difficulties they should all the more say it out and be frank with us....

    Really hate, after the episode of  VG, that yet! another company  trying to treat us gamers as stupid idiots  ....

    Totally agree. But i seriously dont understand whats on their mind now. They better polish up the game real fast before the xbox version is release, else they will totally tarnish both their reputations in both the pc and console world.

    And they can say bye bye to gaming in future.....

  • I believe they will not use the Everquest name again. But i believe they will definately keep a lookout at Bioware and the next Blizz mmo and try to copy their success ( if they are successful) and may come out with another fantasy mmo in future...

     

    But before that i believe they will start to close down those smaller mmo under their belt now...
