- New player's perspective on LOTRO
Yes, 1-10 is very easy, it's like a tutorial. Game is over a year old, newbie areas are bound to be rather sparse.
Ugly toons?, go to a barbershop and change your look....also you can dress in up to two cosmetic outfits and retain the stats of your main, real armor, and of course you can dye armor.
lag? for a game this pretty, lag is minor. I have two accounts, the old computer gets lag in bree and rivendell, but the new computer gets none anywhere. I have dx10 turned off though...come to think of it I oughta try turning it on again, it was causing lag on th first day it came out..it probably doesn't anymore.
Tradeskill armor rivels the best in game.
If you get back on Nimrodel, Contact Gallant Few, a large working-class kin with friendly, mature members that's been there since day one.. All you have to do is agree to the "play nice" policy. My toons are Anwar, Dragonchow, Pappy, Geezer, and Coot.

Well, for one thing solo (night play) is solo , you can't group up to like level 15-or 20 and the instances adapt to your level, so if you are playing a group centric charactor like ranger, you can't complete early instances if you are an average player because you can't out-level the hard ones to complete them.
This is the reason I am not buying the game... too much frustration.

The over-riding differences that you will see right away is the maturity of the players and the beauty of the landscapes in LotRO. As you get further in you will see it as more solo-friendly and way less raid 0r die.
Can you believe I have not seen a single begger in LotRO and I've been playing it a lot for over a year?
