In a few years you won't even be able to tell me which is which.
yes....world of warcraft where the first rpg in the in the world to have a skill tree
/sarcasim off
1. There are MANY similarities in AoC, core ones. I.E. Quests are similar, experience gain is exactly the same, equipment and bonuses are oddly similar, travel is handled the same (even mounts for the most part), perspective on the character is the same, long and short term game goals are the same.... WoW is NOT the first to have ANY of these traits, which was my point. I've been playing this game for 8 years already.
2. You have to admit the skill tree in AoC is almost identicle to WoW's. They're even almost exactly the same depth (train five here to get to one of these two skills, repeat...)
3. I didn't say AoC was just like WoW, I said it was like every other game... which you conviently prove.
No you said WoW 2.0 not just like every game. Secondly I don't even know if you played this game now because equipment and bonuses are nothing the same, AoC's loot is crap or your quest gained gear is what you wear as you level up. Experience gain is exactly same, wth kind of comment is that? Did you play them side by side, that's a bullshit answer spewing out of your mouth there I can guarantee you the xp gain is different. Same goals? Well no shit every MMO has the same goal level up or skill up... 3rd person perspective, seriously do you even play games that is the dumbest thing I've heard. Scripted travel isn't new either. I don't think you play as much as you say you do because this is just idiocy.
Excuse me for expecting designers to design something... you're just angry
DAOC == AC == EQ == SG == WOW == AoC == Problem
That's all I'm saying. Don't get mad at me that your shiny new game isn't unique. Not one of you has offered any evidence of a unique GOOD TRAIT to AoC yet... but you have agreed with me (aggressively so) a few times.

Rough territory here, 50% fanbois and 50% "Please can we move on"...
I think everyone is just trying to point out that the game is not unique, even though it promised it would be. There's no added dimension to combat, only a mechanic that says I cannot look away. That's great but I've been playing this game for 6 years now, and if I can't look away I might end up shooting myself. Seriously, the fanbois are loosing it on this site.
What is your favorite fantasy character type?
