• • Is WAR the most hyped MMO ever?

  • im sure this is a winner for me..

    when the battle between EQ2 and WOW whas in 2003/2004 something.. i whas never gonna play wow, i whas gonna play EQ2..

    it didn't end that way.. i ended up playing wow fulltime, because i didnt really like EQ2.. so i played WOW 3 years..

    The same thing happended again.. I whas gonna play AOC and not WAR.. with aoc i got a similar feeling as with EQ2 back in the days.. so maby i get a deja vu? and many years with war to come?

    WoW better graphics... sorry, can't take this one seriously at all. It's just plain silly.

    i'll take cartoonish graphics anyday.. you wont find more realistic graphics than cartoons anywhere unless you play good old FMV games.. why? because every attemt the developers try to make something look realistic, it ends up looking silly and robotic.. and you get that HUGE uncanny valley effect!

    Guild Wars (Yes I know it's Free).

    DDO

    AOC

    POTBS

    PSU

    LOTRO

    Tabula Rassa

     

     

    Where Category would you put EQ2 & WoW in?

    I gues what I am saying is I don't like paying for Intancing. That is not an MMO that is a Multi Player Gamer disguised as an MMO!

     

    i would put WOW under true world & EQ2 Under Not a real world.

  • i  agree with you.

    EQ2 has always had, and still has some extremly big irritations..

    these is my main irritations, that made me switch to wow as my main mmo in 2005.

     

    1. the avatar looking at people automaticly.

    2. cant take the weapons out when out of combat.

    3. To mutch light effects.

    4. All classes feels the same.

    5. Extremly bad UI

     

    And im not defending wow, i dont play eather of these games.. have played 3 chars in wow to 70 and 2 chars in eq2 to 80.. and if i whas forced to play one of these games again, i would pick WOW, and the reason for that is the PVP..

    How can you know? how many games have blizzard released after they merged to activision blizzard 3 weeks ago?

    EA games isnt more for mythic, than activision blizzard is for blizzard entertainment...
