  • The7y do still work, I play mine regularly. The issue is that my account is full access on test only, and she cannot create a pirate on test.

  • I was in beta, and was awarded a full account on test.  I had been playing regularly, and my wife has expressed a little interest in the game. We have a rule: we will only pay for 1 subscription game at a time, and this is certainly not worth abandoning WoW for...

    Well, my daughter decided it would be cool to play around on the game, so I allowed her to create a character. She liked it so much, she deleted my 21 Pirate and created several more. D'OH! Since I am starting over, might as well have the wife level with me.

    Does anyone have a full acount on test they no longer use, left over from Beta they would be willing to give me so my wife can play with me?

• • capturing a flagship the easier way

  • to the folks that play, a nice little trick often overlooked:

     

    Using whatever technique that works, disable a flagship much higher than you. Now the hard part, how to take the ship... the NPC's are too high for you to take alone, or for your crew to take, right?

     

    Shoot them. After you grapple the ship, a timer starts. The NPC's also appear at that time... even though you have not boarded yet. Man the cannons and pick them off! Leave a few minutes to board and wipe up the remainder.  an easy capture of a higher level ship, and great reputation and booty to go with it. Works best with a frigate or galley with cannons mounted on a high point., so you can see your targets better.

    The trick of taking a higher ship is to stay behind it. Zig-zag to bring your guns to bear alternately, but stay behind it and away from it's guns. Works only on NPC's and really stupid people. Players with more than 2 braincells won't let you do this for long.
