As you know Jeff Freeman is no longer with us.He took his own life. When I found out I made the decision that I was not going to post my personal opinion on this matter. However, I can no longer stay quiet! This tragedy has effected me alot more than I anticipated. I read the post that Jeff's brother wrote. Let me give all of you a small tip about how a corporation like SOE works.
Just because Jeff''s brother says SWG was not responsible for this tragedy does not necessarily make it so. We all know how SOE operates. 80% of this board is here because we disagree on SOE's business practices. SOE is an extremely greedy and rich company. All they care about is making a profit. They already have a bad reputation with the MMO community, especially SWG. They don't even have the common decency to post a statement on their boards about Jeff''s suicide. Why would they? SWG has an extremely bad reputation as it is. SOE is the type of company that is willing to go as far as to pay people to keep their mouths shut or distort the truth. They call it condolence money. They have done it before. Yes including the families of ex-employees! I have worked with these type of people before(Not with SOE) and some of the things they're capable of would make the average Joe want to puke!
The economy is in recession, corporate greed is at its highest, and suicide rate has increased tremendously due to loss of income, forclosures, and corporate corruption. You don't have to look very far to see what greedy corporations like SOE are capable of. Our economy is in danger because of this very reason.Bottom Line, SOE might or might not have been the primary cause of Jeff's death, but they were definitley a contributing factor. I'm sorry if this upsets anyone.
Kotor MMO confirmed. Rumors Debunked.
