• • Wasteland server needs more Order players?

  • The promo for XP bonuses and such for Order in certain servers just reinforces how bad it is on Order.

    You look at the list of server & bonus listings from the patcher, NONE of them mention Destruction needing help on any server.

    It's called the Official AoC Forums.  Best PvP I ever had in my gaming experience.  Unlike the game itself:

    * Fresh content every minute.

    * True skill-based PvP.

    * True FFA / Open PvP.

    * Very stable.  Practically no crashes and such.

    Everything you could ask for in a PvP oriented experience.  It was fun playing on the forums than the game itself.

  • Order sucks on my server, no if's, and's, or but's about it.

    Yesterday was a case in point.  I have characters at varying Tiers, and running the scenarios usually resulted in a horrible Order loss.  The only times Order came out well were in the wee early or very, very late hours.  But if it is "Prime Time" hours?  Forget about it.

    Something that another guy here brought up that I do agree with... Destro players LOVE tanks.  For every tanking / defense oriented Ironbreaker or Swordmaster, I can count 2-3 Destro melee tanks.  Very hard to have cohesion on your side when a line of tanks just smashes into your group with very few tanks of their own to bring stability and longevity.

    Anyways, ALL DAY yesterday was so bad that I said outloud in the scenario... What's the point?  We're losing 8-480, we're getting **crushed**.  There's no point in respawning anymore since all you're doing is providing points to Destruction players.

  • HAHAHAHA!!!!  Is this one of those threads that blame the failure of a game on the shoulders of players and forums?

    News flash:  MMOs fail because they're crap and / or there are issues with the developers.

    Bad games and bad dev teams will fail, and having forums or not will not prevent it.

    What not having official forums will do is it prevents a central meeting place for your PLAYERS, i.e. PAYING CUSTOMERS to congragate at.  You know, like minds getting together to share a common theme or goal.

    Warhammer Online currently has no official forums.  It's doing well, yes, but IMO, the players are splintered off with a piss-poor sense of community.  Same thing I saw with Guild Wars.  Both have no official forums.

    If your game is good, then have no worries about official forums.

    If your game is bad, then having forums or not will not matter.  You won't be able to hide for much longer how craptastic your game is.
