  • How does using x-fire all of a sudden make you "hardcore"?

     

    How are you trying to group xfire users without even knowing half of them? Thats basically like saying that the only people who play F2P mmo's are jobless and unemployed, which is not entirely true although yes a good portion of them may be..

    Not all xfire gamers are hardcore types, hell, some people just would like to know how long they are spending each week playing video games.. MAYBE its  tool to HELP them regulate their game time each week?

     

    Who are we to tell really? So as far as we know, they ARE random gamers.. RANDOM gamers who want to track their game stats is all it shows..

  • Xfire statistics are basically the same as polling during election season.. No, it is not the "final" answer, but a trend is a trend..

    To say that Xfire is the end all is false, but so is discrediting the actual human beings who's gameplay sessions are recorded for statistical breakdown..

    So what, it's not a majority when the world is concerned BUT they ARE humans and they ARE gamers who are showing everyone what they play when they play and for how long, so they do matter when talking about a trend..

     

    It's not a useless stat and should at least serve to show the opinion of random gamers who use xfire..

     

    I still don't understand why companies go through so many hoops to hide their numbers from people.. Why become ashamed of your numbers if they reflect how well or poor your game is doing?

    It's so confusing to the people on low/low servers who are led to believe that there are a decent amount of people on their server (by the fact that mythic refuses to shut some of them down and merge).

       My sentiments exactly: Restricting the content of the game is a very bad idea. The irony is that the core shortcomings of the game would still be intact, but with a more varied playing field.

     

     

    But I guess that you are also missing our point... With 30+ servers and not enough population to really populate them all, and with so many things and places to go/hide and tiers to wade through, How are we supposed to do what the game sold itself to us as being?

    An RvR game, but we have to rely on the population to actually "want" to do it or else we suffer for it right?

    And I know I know.. everyone is about to come in here and say "Well last night we had a 500 vs 500 battle going for hours and I got no sleep" or "I always have battles daily on my server"... Chances are that you are either bullshitting or that your server already has a dedicated "RvR" population which is good for you.. But you have to think bigger than just your server...

    An RvR server would at least almost GARUNTEE that everyone on that server is either doing PvE or RvR no scenarios.. Therefore you are bound to see every man in the lakes who isn't questing or PQ'ing at the moment.. No scenarios to hide in.. And plus, if everyone has a fresh start it will make things interesting once more, as the battles in nordland will have alot more people involved and perhaps other rvr lakes will get used as well.. Its a win win for people who WANT the change.. Notice: not everyone has to like or decide to go to a server like this, just like the ORvR servers.. Its a choice...

  • the population is soo split in this game...

    They cannot please everyone.. And they are gonna fail for trying, they should have just said FUCK scenarios in the beginning and just stuck with the meat of the game, Keeps and RvR lakes...

    I would hate to re-roll and another server would prolly get no love as people would not wanna re-roll.. But I probably would if they make one of these servers after the 1.1 patch that is supposed to make RvR better...
