- Age of Conan. 8800 GTS Poor Performance, please help
General suggestions only;
- turn down some of the view distances, especially the HQ ones, grass density, stuff like that
- turn off shadows (if you haven't, not sure by your comment re:shadows whether they're on or off)
- reduce the reflections setting, bloom, specular, 3D occlusion (basically all the small stuff that eats up the video card cycles)
(snipped line about drivers, posted before your second comment re:175.16's)
Hope something helps. Your system specs are way above mine, except for vid card, and I don't have the fluctuation like that, usually 24ish in Tortage to nearly 50 outside, running 1680 x 1050 (still on the island, so I can't say what things will be like on the mainland).
