Sounds like fun, I never thought of using an assassin. Now that you mention it I am already thinking about how to set mine up as soon as this one finishes up. Look forward to trying it out, Thanks for the idea.
Once again, I am not claiming this as the latest and greatest build of the day. After over two years of playing GW with "Clasic" buildsand finishing all campaigns I tried something totally out of the ordinary JUST FOR THE FUN OF IT, and was surprised at how it turned out and wondered if others had tried anything remotely similar.
As to being familiar with the res shrine, and needing a mega-party for support in normal mode.... Party consisting of heros Ogden, Jora and Pyre with Cynn, Herta, Eve and Lina henchmen went out into the Varajar Fells area of EotN with this unlikely warrior and I believe cleaned out the area with 437 enemies slain. Finishing at a +10 morale with only 2 death.
Another abnormal group that was a lot of fun was this character with Jora, Ogden and Duncoro teamed with a classical warrior running the hammer warrior hero with Olias and Master of whispers both set up as MM.
With 20 minions following us around it looked like a small army on the move as we depopulated everything between the command post and the floodplain in Nightfall, for no other reason than just the fun of it,
I haven't tried Hard Mode with this character yet, but will have to try it just for fun before getting rid of it to try something else, probably even more unlikely to succeed, lol.
Thanks for your input . You make very valid statements as to why nobody would want to do this on a serious character. But if you have an empty slot and want a break from normal play try some unlikely combinationsof your own and hopefully you will be as surprised with the results as I have been.
Happy Gaming to All

Thank you for your concise explanation of why this does not work, and yes I do have standard warriors as well. This was more about trying something different. As an example, I set up the Eotn monk hero as an axe warrior, but kept Healing Breeze, Resurrect and Heavens Delight on him.
During gameplay in both EotN and the southern shiverpeaks he has proven to be very effective at both killing and healing. A plus is that the NPC's see him as a monk and go after him only to be met with extreme damage from the murakai's axe he uses.
Even though this build should not work logically, for the very reasons you stated, it has proven very effective. This character is 5 days old and has finished both the Norn and Vanguard storylines in Eotn, as well as collecting Ursan, Raven and Vulven blessings. Currently making his way to Vabbi in Nightfall. Mostly just about fun, and so far this has been a very fun character to play with.
What I mean is setting up a character class by secondary only. I prefer the warrior style of play, but always had "energy" issues until I started experimenting with my builds a bit.
My latest character started in Nightfall as an Elementalist/Warrior who uses a sword and shield. All of my attributes went into swordsmanship and tactics plus a few into energy storage to get my energy to an acceptable level. As equipped I have a 616 health and 68 plus 3 bars of regen energy warrior. Needless to say I no longer have any energy shortage on my character, Over the last few days I have played this character almost exclusively, and been having a blast, lol.
The skills combination used come from Nightfall, Factions, Prophesies, and EotN.
I was just wondering if others are doing this, and how happy, or not, you have been with the results.
Guild wars for me, now that I have completed the storyline in Prophesies, Factions, Nightfall and Eye of the north is mostly about exploration and PvE combat. I find the graphical detail, such as falling leaves, flying birds, even bugs interesting while exploring new areas. The combat can get quite intense when you attack a small mob, and suddenly every mob in the area rushes in to join the fight.
Part of the attraction to this game for me, which some see as a bad thing, is that I can group up with friends and head out of town with just my friends and the environment to interact with, unless I specifically feel like PvP it isn't required.
Another part is that if none of my friends are on, the Heroes and henchmen allow me to play solo in almost any area of the game. This is a big plus as most of my GW friends are geographically spread all over the world and because of time differences sometimes grouping becomes a bit hard to arrange. Sometimes when my friends are not available I jump into some of the midlevel areas and just help people asking for help on missions or quests, or drop into low level areas and give away some of the weapons picked up in higher areas. Random acts of kindness that may make some strangers day playing GW a little more pleasant.
I guess I just like the overall ambience of Guild Wars more than Eve or other online games I have tried. This one has kept me playing for over two years now, and that is easily the longest I have stayed with any Game.
Hope that explains why I like this game, and I as well as most of my online friends are over 40 which may explain why the exploration and trying to see and discover everything, even areas not needed for the storyline, appeals to us. Excitement of combat, tempered with the quiet time of admiring the new scenery, and sometimes new types of foes, we discover along the way.
